Ok, I’m asking that we take a small break from the worrying for a little bit and talk about something good that could come out of this game. Since Halo Infinite seems like it will be open-world, that could give a lot more variability in the way objectives are completed. One thing they could do to add to this variability is to make a better stealth mechanic. Maybe you want to get inside a facility but want to conserve ammo and health? Perhaps you could sneak in rather than shooting in like you normally do in the halo games. Yes, there have been instances in the halo games where you could do some stealth (like in Halo Reach on Nightfall) but you could never fully avoid confrontation without using glitches. Then silenced weapons like the Socom Pistol or silenced SMG from ODST could actually be used the way they were meant to, instead of just reducing your motion tracker signature. Planning ambushes this way on online co-op or with 4-player split-screen would be really cool

Well, 343i did say that Halo: Infinite will be ‘the most ambitious Halo game’…
At this point I don’t think anything is out of the question and I do think it could be cool.
I haven’t thought about it, but yes, this does seem indeed possible.
It would definitely create room for various different approaches.
Sounds really neat!
