Its all happened to us, one member feels the need to take a kill that we deserve, running up and punching them, or unloading on them. its the most annoying thing in halo 5. when i was playing team snipers i was assassinating a guy with the sweep the leg assassination and my team mate, being the smart person he was, decided to try to snipe him in the head, he hit me in the head and betrayed me, freeing the enemy who was so close to dying,then he turned around and killed my team mate. do you think 343 should make it so the person being assassinated is invincible until the animation is finished? or do you want to continue ruing the game by stealing kills?
Honestly it should be like battlefield, your not invincible but the enemy in the animation should be. That way an enemy can save them and kill you but no teammates can steal your hard earned assassination.

Make friends and play with them. Or don’t assassinate when randoms are around. Or don’t assassinate at all.

I wouldn’t say it’s ruining the game. But it -Yoinking!- sucks when that -Yoink- happens.
I was was just playing war zone and I was assassinating a Promethean soldier… Then boom. Stolen kill. I get the assist… Yea. Thanks for that Spartan

yeah thats what i meant, you can be killed but your teammates can’t steal your kill
You know what I love? When a teammate in a Ghost splatters your assassination and you simultaneously. Seriously, what’s the point of that?
I some times panic and can’t tell who’s assassinating who and some times it’s just instinct to should an enemy I see moving

Yea, this is usually the case with me.
I think that it should be left as is. An assassination is more of a stealth/humiliation kill to be used when the enemy is not expecting it. An assassination should not be done in the middle of a battle where everyone, enemy and team mates alike, have the opportunity to kill you or your victim during the few second animation. Being betrayed while you are performing an assassination and your victim goes free is all apart of what makes Halo so fun, the fact that anything could happen.
Assasinating in team snipers? Sorry but you’ve gotta expect an unfortunate outcome to that. Maybe not from your own team though lol
He/she may have not been able to tell who was doing the assassinating though? I know I struggle to tell sometimes

I agree with you completely on this. It wo u ld be a good thing to not lose the assassination because of an assassin…
I follow around the team mate who stole my assassination (If I can), wait until they get killed, then -Yoink!- them.
Or betray them if I’m in a really bad mood
but in battlefield the animation only lasts 2 seconds on halo they do dances and jumps before even stabbing them
I always feel bad when I yoink somebody, usually it’s never intentional, as in I’m just emptying a clip into somebody, and then my teammate starts the animation but I’m still firing, and I end up getting the kill. Always feel like -Yoink- when that happens.
I never liked the Yoink in halo, I think if somebody yoinks another the Yoinker should explode and be kicked off the game for 3 days to sit and think about what they did.
No but I would be happy if they made it so your team member can’t steal the kill, but the enemy can still stop it. Or if anything give the yoinker an assist, idk.
But with yoinking, the show stoping, the time it takes to assassinate and the risk of being killed while assassinating makes it not worth having your assassinations on.

I’m the same, sometimes I can’t tell who was assassinating who, or i turn quickly and fire.

It is annoying, but really its your fault.
You have the choice between a quick beatdown and a boasting assassination which will make your opponent mad.
Assassinations are great, but they are a risk… you chose to boast with an assassination so every once in a while it will get stolen or you will be killed in the process.

ive done this before, i assumed my friend was getting assassinated, i was kinda far away with a BR, and started shooting. well i killed the enemy…and my friend…i was like damn my bad i was trying to save your life not take it. only to be told they were the one doing the assassination
