When the original xbox came out some years ago, I bought 4 along with 4 copies of CE, hooked them up system linked, and still play them with the family. Yes my wife, son and daughter all play it.
Back then I was on xbox forums under the name “Bluegrasscat” with the line “A wildcats kitten that roars” along the bottom. But dropped out of forums bc net services in HC Indiana at that time was pitiful and was far to costly for just dial up.
Anywho. I was the first to post about how to steal 5 Banshees on Assault on the Control room and was wondering if people know how to do it these days?
If not, here it is.
I am Sure everyone knows to rocket the platform after getting to the tank to knock the 1st banshee off, and I am sure a few know about using that Banshee to steal the other one atop the tall tower after the 2nd tunnel. That’s 2… For the third. Use Banshee #1 or 2 to fly to the next level and at the back of the field you’ll find #3 just setting there. Shoot it’s wing along its leading edge and it will flip upside down. Elites can’t flip it back over so after wiping out all enemies you’ve got a 3rd banshee.
for #'s 4, and 5. You grab the cammo and quickly rush out the door, snip the Elite by the banshee. take it and as soon as you do turn to the left and either shoot the 5th banshee along the leading edge of it’s wing to flip it, or simply push it over the edge. Now fly to the 2nd lip on the tall tower and you’ll be able to snipe everything below you. Be sure to get the two Elites on the ground. Then fly back over to the bridge, pull out your rocket launcher and take out the Wrath. Now finish the level as normal and you’ll find the Grunts, and hunters along the 1st level of the tower all asleep.
Haven’t tried it on Anniversary, but do intend to if I can find it cheap enough.
