Stay,go or be added

What would you guys like to stay, go and maybe be introduced into halo infinte

Spartan Charge, bye bye. Imo, its on the same level of annoyance and breaks the game (to me) the same as Armor Lock did in Halo Reach.

all mechanics added after halo 3 can go. they serve no purpose in a halo game.
Sprint is useless. ---- Makes maps bigger which is probably why they use hit scan instead of projectile
All the added mobility in halo 5 is not needed if the maps are sized for spartans that dont have those added abilities. (also added spartan mobility ruins vehicle combat balance)
Weapon spawns indicators can go. ---- this is handholding for new players
Greanade indicators ------ again handholding. The only grenade indicator needed is your tv screen and headset/speakers
343i’s elites are wayyyyyyyyy too hunched over ----- like they need walking sticks so i hope they get that fixed in the new improved art style
warzone is a cool concept -------- but the boss fights ruin it because last hit gets all the points

Amen honestly everything could not have been said more clearly

No, it really doesn’t. It is just a mechanic to learn. Armor lock broke game modes; charge does not do that. It does the same damage as melee and if you score a hit you are able to shoot after right away. It is high risk, some reward.
For some reason everyone just remembers some over exaggeration that it’s a one hit kill or it can be done over and over without penalty.
Please don’t take my word for it. Put in 5 give it a go and pay close attention. You will find that you may remember it differently that what it is. Pay attention to how many kills you get using it.

Outside of warzone- maps are comparable in size with 2 and 3. Sprint is needed to break that basket crouch jumping that the earlier games devolved into with later skill.

I will concede that the sprint we got was too generic and should have been reworked. To be more burst like and less like something to be over dependant on. Making it limited in turn ability and also tying it to your thrust as well as shield recharge and being pulled out of it if shot.

Sprint, clamber: GO far away
slide: sure, whatever, stay
grapple hook: STAY YESSS
add: flood

no, they’re not, look at breakdowns of midship, they bloated the size of it to make the maps not seem tiny. sprint wasn’t needed at all for that, sprint and clamber were easy fixes to make it easier on newbies. all the things that have to be changed to accommodate sprint, like faster projectiles, bloated maps, stronger magnetism, and a broken combat loop, make its inclusion not worth it at all.

With respect, what your saying about the map sizes just is not true and has been debunked by others. Did it influence level design from the ground up? I would think so. No way of testing that though.

How does it accomodate newbies? If your were a cybernetic super solidier , you would never run or pull your self up? Really it just adds a layer of depth

As for the magnetism, I agree with you on this to a degree. The enhanced mobility should not constitute no deftness in aiming. It should be slowed down again. This could be down while keeping these mechanics. People be more poised to think of them more tactically.

I’ve only seen the contrary on map sizes, I’ll look for sources later though.

It took a bit to learn how to manipulate the physics, or how to do a perfect crouch jump. Spartans are shown repeatedly to be able to hit top speed, and shoot and fight. clamber is just a pointless animation that breaks up combat. It’d be more realistic to the lore for them to be able to fight at top speed, and simply jump over any obstacles.

Yeah, maybe, but 343 hasn’t done it correct yet, and they don’t need to do it correct if they go back to classic movement

Then why is midship a large map on halo 5 and small on halo 2 and 3?

If in halo 5 a spartan that is sprinting gets across midship in the exact same amount of time as a spartan that is walking in halo 3, then midship is too big in halo 5.

Stay:

  • Sprint (for those bigger maps, increases pace) - Dash (makes game play more engaging and faster pace) - ADS on all guns (adds realism and a a degree of skill) - Reticle flare (prevents weapon spam) - Slide (same as dash) - Clamber (prevents flat dull maps) - Weapon highlights (easier to see dropped weapons)Go:

  • Spartan charge (seems a bit silly) - Ground pound (is very silly) - Req cards/points (no microtransactions)Add:

  • Grizzly tanks - Night maps - Flood (including in infection like H4) - Playable ElitesThe grapple hook I’m fine with so long as you can use it alongside the dash ability and there is only one per map (two if its warzone).
