Unsurprisingly, the limited edition console sold out on every listing almost immediately. Last I heard, Best Buy and Amazon still haven’t gone live yet, but it’s been over a week since preorders began. Are these retailers actually going to go live at some point? Or will Walmart, Target, etc. have any restocks? Or am I just -Yoink- out of luck as far as getting my hands on one?

I heard there would be a Gamestop restock at some point this week. I hope there never is another Walmart restock, I got sick of that “press and hold” really quickly.

I haven’t seen a listing on Gamestop for it yet, I did read on a cnet article that they might have some stock at some point but afaik, they didn’t have any when preorders went live.

I’m wondering if anyone who actually wanted one managed to get there hands on it firsthand. They really need to enforce this more strictly or make it in store only. But alas

Damn, I can’t believe I missed that Gamestop listing, and here I thought I was being pretty vigilant about it. That is terrible news if it’s true. I’m a little confused though, cause the article says that the preorders have halted, but googling the console still brings up some pretty recent articles about the apparent restock this week. Also, apparently Best Buy is going live with preorders late October?
My dilemma is, I don’t have a Series X at all, and I’m not sure if I should wait in the hopes of getting my hands on the Halo edition, or start trying to get a regular one immediately so I don’t risk not having one by December 8th.

I did the second option. As soon as I didn’t get an Infinite edition in the first rounds (MS Store, Target, Walmart), I went on the hunt for a Series X and landed one fairly quickly (mind you, had to have twitter notifications on and my payment info ready and had to order it FAST to snipe it), with the plans to sell it to one of my buddies if I happened to get the Infinite edition. If I didn’t, then oh well at least I had a Series X to play it on.
From what I heard, they are all sold out across all distributors at this point. Might be worth keeping an ear to the ground at places like Walmart (where I got my standard Series X) or Gamestop, you never know when they might get some restocked.

But I bet a restock will drop at some point this month at conventional retailers.

I just read that Antonline will be getting some stock soon, apparently. Not sure how I’ll be able to keep up with it since there’s no listing and I have no idea when it’s coming, but fingers crossed. Will there also be a window to buy this thing the day it releases, or are they only doing preorders?
If I don’t get my hands on one by the end of this month, I’ll probably go with your plan (assuming I can find a possible buyer, haha).
