Stats over time in Halo 4.

It would be great to include the ability to track a player’s stats over time in Halo 4. So for example, you could see trends in the K/D ratio and Win/Loss ratios graphed. Surely it wouldn’t be too hard to implement and there are so many different stats that it could be used for.

Many variations of the graphs could be added, like K/D ratio over the whole career, a 10 game moving K/D ratio. The more stats the better. Furthermore, the more visual representations of stats the better. Gets people more involved.

The opportunity to compare the history of any of your stats in a graph against any other player is quite enticing, for me at least.

What are your thoughts on this?

I would like to see this in the game nice idea

Yes, very good idea.
I was thinking more of a weekly, bi-monthly, monthly sorda thing though.

Yeah, that sounds good too. If they were to implement it I could see it being based on those sort of time frames. The idea just came to me and I had to post it quickly haha.

Kill/death/assists, Win/Loss, hit percentage, time spent in vehicle/on foot, time spent immobile (camping/sniping), flags stolen/returned, flag carrier kills etc.
Those are a few of the stats I would like to see in a nice graph

I fully support this idea OP, it would be a nice addition to the game.

Include ratings of how well you do. It will be updated every month, but you have play certain of amount of games to update it.

Impartial, it would be nice, but at the same time, I wouldn’t really use it so…

each to their own I suppose. I would be obsessed with it, would be great if you could chart your friends stats against your own on the same graph as well.

those who are impartial, why?

.

I would love some sort of recent ‘form’ stat.

Mainly because I am a very average (albeit enthusiastic) player… and it would be helpful to know who to ‘avoid’ in the heat of battle.

Also some sort of ‘damage stat’ would be cool. Instead of waxing lyrical about the relative values of assists to deaths in the K/D ratio… why not have a damage inflicted vs damage taken stat.

Obviously damage taken = 100% for each time you die… but damage inflicted could be anything from a few % (got an early distracting shot in before someone came in and finished the job) to 100% for a clean kill.

That way, if your ‘assist’ was 99% of the kill - you get rewarded for the hard work… and the candy picker who came in at the last second with a cheap grenade only gets 1%.

Also one thing I really miss from earlier Halo games was the breakdown of who killed each other and how many times. Reach only has “killed the most” and “killed by the most”. This was always great to discuss between your team mates.

yeah, there is so much potential with the different kind of stats there could be. Everyone enjoys in-depth stats, can reveal a lot about how you play.

If it isn’t in the game they should put it on Waypoint.

yeah I agree, it probably suits waypoint more than in the actual game. I hope they’ve considered something like this at least.

I would really like to see a way to reset a skill stat, if they include skill. You know cuz people usually suck when the game first comes out. in halo 3 people would make new accounts just to rank up faster. if you could reset a skill stat, then maybe people won’t have to quit matches and start new accounts just to rank up faster.
