I noticed I have 32 DNF now instead of 31 after my two games today. This is the one stat I actually do care about. So I look at game history and see that I went 6-3 with a DNF… (along with everyone getting DNF).
I was actually 13-5 on that map and it did finish all the way. My team scored 1000 and won… yet the score was 500 something to 300 something with all quitting.
Is this normal in this game or just fluky? Ironically, it was in the 30% of games on h4 with zero lag. This a JIP thing maybe?
Again, I don’t care about stats and I know I’m bad; I just ‘actually’ have about 5-10 quits total due to frustration / having to go do something… so I’ve been watching it just to see when / why I get DNF in general…
I hope H5 has good servers.
It randomly happens when you get a black screen/host migration in a game, especially if it happens a lot during a match.
I see. Yeah, ‘I’ don’t really care because I’m not very good and my CSR is low in general. I could see this being a big deal for the goods tho.
This game is fun but man it just feels so… broken. Like it’s hard for me to take anything seriously. Although I’m not great at the game, I still play to win and to get better. But eventually I find myself just kinda playing to play and it’s hard to sit for long sessions. I’m not ‘working towards anything’ (I don’t count something that auto increases even with an 0-10 map) so it feels pointless after awhile even to a casual player.
It just feels overall broken and unattended to. If lag / black screens were fixed and rare like Reach I would be all in on H4 and pumped for Halo 5.
Eventually we have to question WHY they don’t fix host. I mean… real question… why? Is this because its Bungie’s codes or whatever people are always saying and they would have to rebuild the thrown together net code from scratch?
I guess I’m a bit confused how 343 could just abandon the Halo series like this.
Hopefully they are TRULY focusing hard on H5 and the future instead of cleaning up H4. I would totally accept that as long as this great series continues long term.
I got an unfrig on complex ctf but it was a JiP game but I joined pretty much as the game started. This was around two days ago and i wanted to check the game stats again but the only game i can find says DNF and my score was 22 for 1. I think its a bug to do with JiP as you guys were saying above.
