Battle Rifle: No bloom, possible recoil: Very similar to the H2 BR in terms of accuracy and rate of fire. It looks like there may be slight recoil. I think this will be the default arena weapon. It’s hard to tell if this is recoil that we must manually correct, or if it is simply visual and your crosshairs will naturally return to where you were previously aiming before you fire your next shot.
Commando: Bloom but no recoil. Again, I can’t tell if this bloom affects gameplay or if it is strictly for visual effect. If we individually click each shot, will it fire more precisely, or is the bloom in full effect from your first round fired?
Magnum: Bloom, no recoil. This looks similar to the H4 and Reach magnums. If you want, you may use this as a precision weapon, or you can fire at a ridiculously fast rate of fire with terrible accuracy. I’m not sure if this will be the default sidearm or not. Thoughts?
Assault Rifle: Bloom, no recoil. It seems a lot more accurate and powerful than in previous Halo titles. If you have no options, it appears that you can fire this in bursts from mid range and still be somewhat effective.
Shotgun: No bloom, spread, possible recoil. Two-shot point-blank kills? Is this even a starting weapon?
It looks to me that we’re going to be getting AR and Handguns starts again, at least if the Multiplayer Overview video is what we’re basing it on.
The reason I say this is at around 2:20 it shows the intro of a match where it shows your team in their stances and then zooms into 1st person on your Spartan, then the match begins. As soon as the player takes control we can see in their inventory an AR, Sidekick, and two frags.
It appears that BRs are going to be pickups, because at around 2:10 we see a wall locker with one in it on spawn recharge. Same goes for the Commando at 2:30. With that I’m going to assume the Bulldog is in the same boat.

Good observations. I don’t play H5 arena, so maybe it works. However, maining the AR with an underpowered pistol as a sidearm is going to take me a while to adjust to.
I think all the reticle bloom is to denote fire rate, I’m not sure we’ll ever see bloom return like in Reach

I think the weapons on the map will actually make you want to pick them up. It seems like we might be done with useless weapons sitting on maps.

I hope not, it got boring very fast.
