Starting to wish Halo ended at H3.

I would rather have seen the Halo Universe end at Halo 3 instead of going through Halo 4. In the direction that 343 industries is taking… the Halo Universe is going to die. Halo’s multiplier has always revolved around competitiveness and that’s what made the universe a success; Halo 2 and Halo 3 were off the charts compared to Halo Reach and Halo 4. 343 needs to bring that competitiveness back with a solid ranking system. Invisible CSR is not good enough… the bare minimum would be bringing back the 1-50 CSR system thats visible in-game. 343 has been always talking about researching and coming up with something new in terms of ranking systems; and what did they accomplish? The exact same ranking system (1-50) that isn’t even going to be visible in-game. It’s sad to see this universe being butchered… and if nothing changes it will continue and eventually Halo will be gone. Four months into release and the peak population on a Saturday is 65 000.

Bungie was successful because they actually cared, listened, and acted upon what the community SAID. So far… the only thing I am noticing is that the CSR threads being posted here are 1) Locked 2) Moved to the least populated section (matchmaking) by monitors. Start listening to what WE have to say and do something with Halo 4 343, don’t just ignore us.

It’s sad to even be saying this… I really want the Halo Universe to continue but I don’t want it to die off and end in a bad way.

Honestly if it wasn’t for jetpack, armor lock, and bloom, I feel Halo Reach could’ve been one of the best in the series.

Anyways, just keep criticizing. Halo 5 doesn’t come out for a year or two, they will have plenty of time to take notes.

I second that. With the addition of the 1-50 ranking system.

I wish that too, but -Yoink!- really loves to milk their games. Besides Halo will always sell, a lot.

Not at this rate it won’t.

That is true… and probably one of the reasons why Bungie ditched Microsoft to start Destiny. I have good hopes for Destiny.

Maybe you can answer this, Destiny its PvP or MMO? And Xbox exclusive?

It’s an MMO but you can PvP clan vs clan I believe.

Also it’s on PS4 as well.

Thats true, Bungie said they are working on some sort of mix between the traditional FPS and the social aspects of a MMO. Considering that the next gen consoles are drastically incorporating social aspects to their consoles I believe Destiny is going to be a success.

Actually, it’d be hard to just stop at Halo 3, due to the Legendary ending.

True. However, what Halo 4 did with the story just doesn’t do Halo justice. From requiring the books to be read to understand the game to the treatment of characters to canonical oversights, it’s just too much.

So, a videogame, can never, EVER, be considered “competitive”, unless there’s a number next to your gamertag?

The OP wrote: “Halo’s multiplier has always revolved around competitiveness”

Maybe for you. Many other players not only do not care about competitiveness, but are quite glad to see the visible ranking system gone. For these players, adding additional emphasis on -Yoink!- size contests would be a turn-off, not an improvement.

Ugh, another one of THESE threads.
Bungie this, bungie that, halos dying, halo sucks now.
I don’t even hate to read the main thread to know what this is about.

I believe this thread should belonging the “general discussion” section btw

Your so ingnorant. There´s plenty of topics in this forum with the answer to that. Go fetch the answer

Personally, I feel That they’re doing a fantastic job with the story. The difference between halo 4 and halo 1 is that 4 is already planned to Be in a trilogy while halo 1 wasn’t. And halo 2 ended up having an accidental cliffhanger ending which made at least half of 3 feeling like an extension to 2’s campaign to fill in the gap.

Halo 4-6 will most likely be much more connected with the story being much easier to understand, because they already have everything planned. Unlike how bungie just made things as they went.

You halo 3 people don’t even know what your talking about. Have you even played halo 3 since h4? Still got your h3 disk? Pop it in and start a game up. Get ready to be overwhelmed by the stench of ripe garbage

6 years have passed what do you expect? You Halo 4 people need to understand that what we are asking from Halo 3 to Halo 4 is a ranking system and two different playlists Ranked and Social and to remove the codish -Yoink- they put into Halo

Stop praising Bungie so fanatically, they’re the ones that turned Halo onto this path of destruction as you seem to think the series is headed down.

343i listens, you can’t deny that and just because the moderators move misplaced threads to the proper forums and lock the massive numbers SPAM topics it doesn’t mean otherwise. Moderators aren’t trying to silence your voice, they’re trying to keep this forum from being choked out with waves upon waves of repeat misplaced topics. (that’s what moderators do)
