Starting Out

Hey all, I’ve been looking to get back into Halo for a while now. I’ve been a huge fan of the original trilogy and haven’t gotten into Halo 4 or 5 yet or even gotten followed up into the lore of the game. Any advice for someone who wants to start out with a fresh perspective on the series as a whole and get the ultimate experience on all the lore and different media?

I would play all seven games (Reach, CE, 2, 3: ODST, 3, 4, and 5 in that order). 4 and 5 aren’t that great, but the saga wouldn’t be complete without them

Completely agree. I still will have a couple buddies over and will play them in order, and to this day, it’s still a blast and enjoy it a ton. I’m sure someone who’s not constantly playing Halo, like yourself, will enjoy the chronological order and viewing the improvements from game to game. I would highly recommend playing on the anniversary settings of CE and H2A to see the beauty that has been brought out by those editions.

Halo 4 and Halo 5 are great. if you want to have level in matchaking on halo 5, you will have to train because the gameplay is more complicated.

halo 4 and halo 5 are very different from the classic halo, but I find them well.
