Through your eyes, what would be the ideal introductory mission?

I think it would be cool to start off the game by making us go through the Forward Unto Dawn as it blows up around us, making us dodge deadly explosions unitl you reach a safe part of the ship to stay in until you land on the inner surface.
Well, yes- “Wake up John” would be considered Forward Unto Dawn. Forward Unto Dawn is not necessarily going to be an actual mission name. I’m just throwing out where it should start. Yes, I agree with you though. The Dawn. That would be the ultimate transition between Halo 3 and 4 in my opinion.- Portaleer
The opening mission/ tutorial will probably be getting through the Forward Unto Dawn as it is getting closer to the Forerunner structure.

Forward Unto Dawn. Even if it isn’t a playable mission (Like The Heretic in Halo 2, Arrival in Halo 3, or Noble Actual in Reach), or a mission with no actual combat and just movement. Unless the Dawn is actually under attack, though, I don’t see it being playable. But i think it is likely the first scenes in the game will involve the Dawn.
