So I’m having this issue where I start the game via the EAC-mode and it makes my computer restart just before it arrives at the main menu. However, starting it without the EAC does not reboot everything and playing the campaign with friend works without any problems at all. I’ve tried to follow the “fatal error” tips but it doesn’t work and neither does repairing the EAC-service. Verifying the game via steam does nothing.
Don’t really know what’s causing this, I’ve been able to play it with the EAC before and the only thing that has changed with my computer since then is that I’ve upgraded to a better motherboard plus a new cooler.
Old motherboard: Z87-G45 GAMING
New motherboard: Z390-A PRO
Please help!
EDIT: Solved had to re-install it 3 times before the effect would wear off.
I have the same issue, but I have no idea how to fix it. I’ve reinstalled and had my pc restart like 8 times in a row now. I just keep doing it in hopes it will work maybe. Lol
Yeah, same problem for me too. I had it actually work once, but then I had to quit the game for a bit and, when I went back on, it crashed again. I checked the error logs and found that it was a ID 41 “Kernel-Power” error, with a description of “The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.” However, I play a lot of games more demanding than MCC with zero issue. I haven’t changed my PC’s hardware since I got MCC and I have always been able to play with EAC on until now.
As this appears to be an issue with your game, we recommend heading over to https://aka.ms/HaloSupport for further assistance. Please review the latest known issues and submit a ticket if your issue is not listed.
Exact same thing here. I just built my system and played hours of Cyberpunk 2077 and Battlefront 2 without any problems. As soon as I get to the menu in Halo, my pc reboots.
