Starting Halo 3 mission kicks me to menu

Whenever I try to do a mission in Halo 3, I will get a mission saying “leaving” and it kicks me back to the main menu. and it is only with Halo 3.

  1. Are you on PC or Xbox?
  2. If on PC, are you using the Steam or the Microsoft Store version of the game?
  3. Are you trying to start the mission by yourself (solo) or with others (co-op)?
  4. Does this happen on all missions that you try to start with Halo 3?

I am on Xbox, I am trying to play it solo, and it happens on every mission. It also tirns out that it effects Halo 3 multiplayer maps as well, I did check the installs, and the game is installed

My recommendation is to re-install the game to rule out any potential install issues that might be present and also to check to ensure that the Xbox is up-to-date as well as the game. If you are still having issues with this afterwards it would be best to report this issue to the developers’ over on the support site by submitting a ticket and including as much information as possible.
