That would be a great idea, but they’d have to be able to figure out a way to detect disconnects as opposed to dashboards or quits, because a simple internet error could ruin someone’s season for good.
There’s nothing that can be done to keep people from quitting. They can make the penalties for quitting much harsher (which I think they should do) to help discourage it. But people will just find a way around that (Dashboard quits, turning off console, unplugging internet). So yeah, really nothing that can be done about it.
I say derank them a full level (gold 6 to gold 5) for each game they quit. Yes I realize Internet disconnects happen so a better system would be needed to track games people either leave or dashboard. But show no mercy.
I played a slayer match the other day and one of the enemy guys went 25-3, same rank as me. Very next match he was on the enemy team again, and I quit. Sometimes there are reasons you need to leave like when you come across an obvious smurf. With no quit option I’d have just hard reset the console. As my play time gets more valuable, I’m less likely to stay in a rigged match so in summary you can never stop quitting.

They took out the quit option in one of the Gears and it didn’t stop anything.
There really isn’t a practical solution to this. It has more to do with the actual character of those that quit then it does the actual system. The system itself is fine, although the banhammer could be more effective. That’s really all that can be done.

This is the reason I like gears of war 4 team ranked playlist they don’t have a quit option for that if I play ranked on halo it’s just free for all this would be a good change to ranked matchmaking for halo.
The playlist is called core though but not ranked they do have a ranked playlist I believe it’s called competitive though but blitz isn’t on that and I like blitz but core is still ranked too
