Standard Warzone has lost it's luster...

Before yesterday, I was in love with the standard Warzone experience. I played countless hours to learn where bosses spawned, how to take objectives, and how each map played individually, so that I could contribute to best help to position my team for victory. I’ve never been so addicted to a multiplayer experience.

I’m not sure if I’m in the minority, but I feel as if those days are gone with the most recent updates.

The randomization of bosses, coupled with the fact that the ‘kill-shot’ still ultimately awards Takedown credit, has rendered my boss knowledge moot. The prioritization of spartan kills over objective requirements has put priority on personal performance over the team element. The general increase in the length of the matches has made losing even more bitter, especially when you find yourself on a team that can’t gain any ground and ends up being ‘farmed’ for commendations.

I used to have fun timing my shots on a knight boss to get the face-shot kill ahead of enemies. Everything feels so luck-based now - and the guy willing to bring out the biggest req usually wins. It’s turned into a really sour experience for me.

I really wish that the classic Warzone had been left alone.

Warzone was at it’s best about mid December. It was still mostly loadout weapons and a few vehicles. It was like a huge BTB match with AI thrown in. I wonder if 343 even knows or has a plan what kind of monster they are building? They are throwing req packs out like candy and they’ve lowered the req timer again with this update. Pretty soon every match will be like warzone turbo. Ever who is willing to bring out the biggest/most reqs wins. Never thought I’d long for the golden days of…warzone lol.

Although I understand were your comeing from, warzone was just to predictable before.

People would literally count the kills and seconds to when bosses would spawn.

New players unless there in a fireteam stand almost no chance at winning, at least with random bosses there will always be some ambiguity to each match for all players, ending the monotony of the old style warzone.

Keep in mind though, I haven’t played warzone in the new update nor do I have any intrest in it, so I have no idea if it was implemented well or not.

Yeah warzone was better at release it was a challenge back then to hit req level 9 now it’s way to easy
They should make a slow req gain playlist and a fast one

I find it to be better. Plenty of people, myself included, would camp a spawn twenty seconds before a boss spawned then kill it with an assassination if it was an elite or soldier.

Now it’s randomized so it could be a vehicle or knight and elite bosses need to loose their shields to be assassinated.

Poor soldiers, no way to stop the knives in the back.

In the end, the old Warzone was very predicable with the boss spawns. Everyone but Warden was killed was too easily and way too quickly to be considered a “boss.”

“Classic” warzone? Halo 5 warzone is considered classic now? lol
