So I am SR 120 and I have all the armor and everything in the REQ pool, EXCEPT THE COMMON BR. Is there anything I need to do? Gold and Silver packs just give back req points and opening bronze doesn’t seem to work.

You have to keep buying bronze. Or wait, I got most of my common req’s in WZ daily win packs.
I think I saw somewhere that it can only be unlocked through a promotion/rank-up pack at around level 3.

Well it never gave it to me, It is the only req I don’t have.
The standard load out weapons are given out from Spartan Ranks 1 through 5, in the form of Rank-Up packages.
As follows, from how I remember it.
Assault Rifle and Magnum: SR 1, all players begin with these.
SR 2: Nada
SR 3: Battle Rifle, Common.
SR 4: Nothing
SR 5: Common SMG.
At least that’s how it SHOULD be.

I’ll do some research and attempt to get back to you on it.

I’ve taken a look around, and sadly have found nothing that can tell me how you can get it.
I’ve checked Youtube, I’ve searched Google.
I even looked around here, and found that all sorts of people are having this problem.
To be honest, I believe that the only way to get this weapon, is to get it from the SR-3 (or whichever) pack. I might make a new account on my Xbox when I get home, simply to test this theory, and level it up to SR-5.
What probably happened to you is that a spartan company commendation gave you enough exp and leveled you up from 2 to 3, for some reason when you level up with exp that doesn’t come from finishing a game you don’t get whatever pack that you should have at that level. As far as I know there’s no way to obtain level exclusive items if this happens, I’ve seen it happen before with emblems as well.

That’s a definite issue, that 343 Industries should look into fixing.
But until then, I feel bad for everyone who cannot get these items.

I did, I was on a spartan company before the game even came out, I’m sure a lot of people were as well, it didn’t strictly had to be from a spartan company commendation either, could’ve been a promotional pack of some sort that gave some exp or pretty much anything that provides exp that’s not a game completion.
How many others are having this issue? We all know 343 ain’t gonna do anything unless half of the people are having a problem.
