This has bugged me since release date. There is the standard/limited game, and limited consoles for sale for H4 right? If you buy the LE console bundle, what items are supposed to be included? Considering it a Limited edition would imply the limited edition of the game itself should be included right? Sure feel like im missing something here. Hell, there wasn’t even a wired headset in the box.
So I ask this, Who else bought a LE console? What came with it? Also, who only got the LE game/what came with it?
If it is not specifically listed in the “what you get” section of the box, it’s not there
hell, even some of the stuff that is there, is only there in the loosest sense of the word.

i bought the LE game and it had a briefing packet. a welcome to infinity handbook and some downloads along witha poster of gabriel thornes warrior armor. also my cousin got the LE console. it comes with two special edition console bundle only controllers and the standard edition of the game. also it does come with a wired headset i know because hes deaf and gave it to me. thats all.
Limited Edition Console has the Xbox itself, 320GB HDD, 2 Halo 4 controllers, the Halo 4 game and FOTUS armor codes for Halo 4 multiplayer.
I got the Limited Edition game full of goodies. (Listed above)
Thanks for the speedy replies. I honestly feel cheated. LIMITED EDITION should apply to both the LE game and LE console bundle. Partially my fault for assuming so, but good job with your brilliant marketing 343/Microsoft. It’ll be the last time I purchase anything limited/special edition from you.
I bought the console, came with console, tv hookup, 2 controllers, 320gb hdd, and the game with came with a card that had all the fotus goodies.
I didn’t open the LE though, only got it to fill space on my desk

How did they cheat you? They have stated numerous times there would be 2 separate deals available to choose from. They are called LE bundles because there is only a LIMITED amount of the LE version of the game made (indicated by the number on the front of the packaging), and only a LIMITED number of the consoles were made. Not to mention that both the consoles and the games came with a there own LIMITED availability DLC pack.
Just because they are both called Limited Edition doesn’t necessarily mean that they should be bundled together, and nowhere at anytime did 343 or Microsoft state that they would be. They have said from day 1 of the console being announced that it would be shipped with a STANDARD version of the game, not the LE version. If you’re that bothered about what DLC you did/didn’t get, just go on eBay like everybody else to get the one you did want.

Thanks for the hindsight rant but i’ve made my decision. LE = LE, bundle or no bundle. LE BUNDLE should include LE game with the console. Marketing at it’s best…why you ask? If someone wants BOTH LE’s they have to get the bundle, AND seperately buy the game. Nuff said.

Think what you like, all I did was state a fact. It’s not the fault of a developer (or any other company) if a select group of people couldn’t be bothered to read about the contents of a product they buy, then complain about it afterwards when it’s not what they thought it would be.
The info about the LE console being bundled with a standard game was released months in advance. 343/Microsoft were under no obligation the provide a LE game with the LE console, so they didn’t. In the end it’s all down to reducing how many different variants of a product to make, to cut manufacturing costs and save the company money (which even Bungie admitted they should have done). In the end, it a pretty common sense thing that any business would do no matter what product/service they provided.
