People have been talking about the second War Games map pack that doesn’t come with the LE, but I can’t seem to find it on Amazon. Is it unavailable for preorder? I presume they’d send the codes to me in an email; or is it only for sale in retailers such as Gamestop? And if so, are they able to be pre-ordered as well or do you need to get it on release day?

I was offered one at Gamestop when i pre ordered though i believe you can buy the pass on xbox live when it’s on the Marketplace. Not sure about the price; 1200 i think since it is 24.99.

1200 MS Points comes out to be around 15$ if I remember correctly, since 800 cards are 10$. And I know the Map Pass will be available on Xbox Live, what I’m interested in is the two helmets and emblem codes-- I assumed the Standalone Map Pass would have one code for the Microsoft Points and another code that unlocks the exclusive helmets and emblem.
Or is it something entirely different? So confused.

My best guess is that you buy the retail version ala Gamestop, you’ll get a code for the other content. By the pass online and you don’t have to do any additional code input since it is on your HD now and any relevant data along with it.

Have I missed something, don’t you get all the map packs (all 3 of them) for free when you buy the LE?

The map pass that comes with the LE isn’t free. It contributes to the $100 price tag.

You know what I mean, anyway back to my question. will there be future map packs I still have to pay for even though I bought the LE?

Unless 343 states otherwise, no. Currently there are only three map packs that are planned with Halo 4 right now. Stay tuned.
Wait so do we get a code for 800 points or do we get a code for the map pack?!
I’m never going to pre order something like maps or season passes again because of how they tend to do them now, unless we get something like back when the Noble maps came out and you pre ordered it you got that “cool” flaming helmet

Exactly. No one knew about it and everyone kept asking me how i got it.
I just told them it didn’t matter since they could never get it again

I’m not bothered about avatar things but that is REALY cool, but yeah I just think they should include the 2 helmets tbh…
