Stances, Visors, Etc. - Why So Rare?

Halo 5: Guardians’ REQ system, like all loot box systems, is padded to the point of absurdity with items most would find undesirable. This is done to prey on those with addictive tendencies or lack of patience into spending real money to unlock the items they want faster. 343 Industries fail to give the drop rates of these items to further encourage the spending of real money.

Despite items like stances, visors, etc. having the same rarities as items like weapons and vehicles, they’re given to the player on a significantly less common basis. I’ve gotten weapons of the highest rarity, but I’m still using the default stance and visor. Why is this?

Because there’s so many REQ items that the chances of getting something specific is very low and there are more weapons and vehicles than those two other things.

An item isn’t common unless it’s a weapon (regardless of what 343 Industries claim.)

Got it.

It’s all RNG. The best method for opening packs is to just stick with silvers until they’re done and then move on to gold packs.

It might have something to do with the fact that there are tons of weapons but not as much stances, visors, etc.
