I think since we are all getting a Kinect 2.0 with the new Xbox, 343 should add customisable stances alongside all the current plus DLC ones. If the Kinect 2.0 is as good as it seems at mapping all movements accurately it would be great, I could see some really good stances, perhaps they could be shared and downloaded via file share, as long as the were not to complex or foolish.
I would really like it if this feature was implemented, with the choice of what weapon you hold, both these thing would be great IMO.

This is a cool idea, but I can picture it going HORRIBLY wrong.
I would like the stances to stay in halo, but I don’t think the kinect part is a good idea.
Imagines all the Deadpool stances that could be made.

People making their Spartans do the -Yoink!- Salute, sticking up their Middle Finger, standing in sexual oriented positions, and other stuff like that could be very offensive for some people. And it kind of discourages me from wanting this feature.
Stances are cool but the kinect part…well I can already see the millions of spartan stances with a spartan rubbing one out or pelvic thrusting (lol that would actually be funny to have). And if I have learned anything from this ‘community’ back in reach, with half of the top or related pictures in the screenshot browser being of fem spartans or Kat, every stance would be an open leg or bent over fem spartan or god knows what sexually oriented position people would come up with. If there is one thing in common among’st competitive mp games, is that the bar on the maturity level of players is set extraordinarily low.
So no, I do not think I would want kinect made stances, EVER.
Also the xb1 does not require the use of the kinect, they just want as many sold as possible so they can invest in games that can use the functions of kinect for things outside of lame kids games and underdeveloped sports games, well from a business perspective it makes sense.
I saw this very problem but it could be countered by having certain poses being restricted, however it would be a challenge to solve. Perhaps 343 should just work on adding more standard stances or variations of each one.
Like everyone said OP, that would be a great idea, but i think some players would go a little overboard with stances, if you know what i mean. Its not a bad idea though, b/c i would like to have a custom stance,

I’m all for it but we are always going to have those immature 12 year olds making inappropriate stances.

Yes! I think we should get a stance from all of the Halo covers. I would definitely go with the Halo 2 stance. 
OT- It sounds interesting, but to be honest people would probably use the kinect for the wrong reasons by creating inappropriate stances. 
I, for one, would absolutely love to have my Spartan be gripping his balls and flipping the bird on my player card.
