A banished styled DMR sounded cool at first but honestly this gun just sucks. Let me explain.
I’m pretty decent with my aim in the game even with the sniper rifle. I don’t want to be that guy but I don’t think this is a skill issue, but for some reason the stalker rifle just feels really off compared to the rest of the guns, pretty much to the point it’s just flat out frustrating to use. The hit detection is really inconsistent whenever I use it, where some shots land and others just don’t when they really seem like they should. Damage I also find is a tad inconsistent as when I shoot someone with no shields, sometimes it’s a kill and other times I need to shoot them two or so more times but I dunno. Maybe I’m just not good with it but something is just off with this gun where I’d rather use anything else in the game, even the plasma pistol honestly as I could at least noob combo someone with it if I really wanted to (not well as that gun kinda sucks too but that’s a different discussion).
It was more usable in the campaign but it was still just really inconsistent for me.

Stalker Rifle is amazing mate what are you on
3 shot kill. High aim assist and magnetism. If it’s taking more than 3, you’re not hitting a headshot. As a Plasma weapon it deals low health damage, high shield damage. If you can’t hit the third shot you’re better off switching to BR

I don’t think you’re using it right. It’s right up there with sniper and for those of us who aren’t as great at instant head shots it’s even better since it fires more consecutive rounds.
Switching to the BR is what I usually do but I got a challenge to get kills with it. With me I find I don’t get that much aim assist with it if at all but that’s just me. Maybe its latency in the servers I don’t know, but the hit registration for me is what really makes it frustrating for me to use

It wouldn’t surprsie me if I’m not using it right, but trying to get kills with it to finish my last challenge just sucks when either its not working right or Im just bad with it.
Its a crap gun for the PvE (atleast on legendary) but one of the best guns in PvP. I d go as far to say i d pick it anytime over the BR or Commando
