In Halo 3: ODST custom firefight with all waves set to some sort of flood, they all seem to just not move around or at all. Is this happening for anyone else? I have to go out of my way to find them on all maps.
You’re not the only one. A workaround I found is approaching the spawn doors after the enemies stop coming. The doors will either open upon your approach, or you will need to hug the door and listen for Flood. Of you hear Flood and the door isn’t open melee, and shoot it till you get their attention.
The Flood isn’t a great addition. Lacking any atmosphere, they feel very hollow. I’m not even hearing them make their gut wrenching howls or anything. Just. Totally hollow.
I was really confused about this as well, they don’t seem to chase after you unless you go near them but even then only a few will walk towards you. Hopefully it’s not supposed to be that way because it really shouldn’t be
Still, you have to admit it is really dang cool that they added this feature in. It’s complete fan service, and I’m frankly grateful. But yes, it needs to be improved ha
Played a bit last night and seemed fine but sounds like I need to play again to get a proper look. I guess the Flood behaviour is different per map so not sure how the Flood would react on different maps. Anyway from what I played last night they didn’t seem very aggressive like I would expect them to be.
The Flood always try to kill the Engineers. Seeing all sorts of bullets, plasma, and rockets toward the poor guy is quite funny, but then you have to endure that hailstorm after.
They seem unfinished, the additional Elites as well. I’ve encountered that they lack their sound, (voicelines, screams, even the sentinel beam firing sounds) and depending on the map they may stay idle. (I had an issue with the flood carrier forms on Lost Platoon.) The health or critical damage levels on the Elites may need adjusting as we were never originally meant to fight them in Halo 3/ODST and three rounds in the head from a SRS-99 seems excessive.

It’s definitely unintentional. It’s something misfiring in the AI. It will be fixed.
Yes same issue.
Infact sometimes the last flood can’t be found and the rounds won’t progress. I’ve already submitted ticket feedback
It needs a lot of polish before launch, but that’s what the flight is for. I think it’s something they’ll fix by season 8
