I loved this new abilitie in Halo 5, it was a very smart invention who deserve to stay in Halo infinite.
Even if there isn’t thruster pack in the new armor, this doesn’t prevent to have some little one for stabilizer jump, we are talking about Spartan armor.
Just have the abilitie to stay one or two second in the air to shoot, I don’t see in what this is a problem. For me it’s would be a sad turning back to don’t have it
I agree with you, I don’t see how this ability can get mad someone and yet they decided to leave it…
I support it, it is not really a negative unbalance, but another characteristic of the gameplay which I consider balanced.

Unless it’s an ability you can pick up I don’t want it. Halo 5 was a fun multiplayer game, but not a Halo feeling one at that.
I want it to be an ability you have since you could combine it with the grapple hook for some crazy plays although idk how it would work with the slow movement speed
The entire H5 thruster setup should just be a power item. Give it a charge and whoever wins the fight for it gets advanced movement until they die or lose their charge.
Or just keep it out of the game entirely, I like that as well.
I entirely disagree.
It wasn’t much of a “smart invention” having been taken from the then dominant trend of advanced movement shooters.
It also completely changes the sandbox and how maps are designed and weapons are tuned.
What I would like is for the utility to be tied to the LR specifically along with new properties for hardlight in order to carve a more unique niche for the Promethean portion of the sandbox.
Having the LRs ads allow you to stabilise would be a cool way to make it more interesting as a weapon without changing the core mechanics in a way that detracts from the core design of halo.
You know, the hover ability served a useful function in halo 5. It tended to (amongst better players anyway) divide the focus of an enemy team since they always had to watch for death from above. I don’t see this changing in halo as it will keep an element of shock tactics in the game and will probably affect overall strategy in any given game mode that takes advantage of having this ability.
I mean, the Grappleshot has basically the same function in the gameplay but does it in a cooler and more balanced way.

Yeah I know some people don’t considere the advanced mobilities like a part of Halo, to the point to denigrate the sprint, but a lot of people were ok with it, this is not the majority.
What the point to integrate the grapple, a big advanced mobilitie as never, and turning back to little things like stabilizer jump ?
Stabilizer jump aload to stay two second in the air, that don’t change the gameplay to this point.

Stabilizer jump aload to stay two second in the air, that don’t change the gameplay to this point. You can’t accustom players for 5 years to somehting and go back on that, it’s non sense
I have never really found it that useful. Do see it used a little more by players in SWAT.
Wouldn’t bother me if it was back in, just felt like a bit of an unnecessary thing, with the way scopes are changing would it even be available to use on the sidekick for example?
Lol, no.
I’m so glad none of that stuff is coming back. Its detrimental to the overall pacing of the gameplay.
Furthermore, thrusters were always a silly addition. Spartans should never need their armour. It enhances the soldier, no iron man/power ranger nonsense in this title. Tyvm.

The majority of classic players absolutely hate the stabilization and thrusters. The grapple is a pick up which fits into the gameplay much better. It also has limited uses.
I will be absolutely devastated if they include other Halo 5 functions (like full Sprint) and include a clunky slide-cancel (a la COD) but leave out the Booster and ADS jump/float stabilization feature. Once introduced, it completely changed how I like to play and allowed Halo to keep up with the faster pace that other FPS (like COD) and YOU CAN DISABLE IT so why not include the option??
Also, don’t wanna change topics fully to the Grapple, but I know a lot of people are seeing this as an alternative…and I have no clue how since they are apples and oranges…but the grapple has not been the tool I want it to be so far in the Flights I’ve been playing. Half the time it downright won’t stick to a surface, it’s generally unclear to me how long the range is, and it’s movement is a lot slower than I hoped. But either way, being able to stay in the air for an extra second or two is a completely different strategic approach than grappling. (And the grapple being balanced does not mean stabilizers are unbalanced)
I totally understand why other players won’t want or use the ADS stabilizer - but I do not see any compelling argument as to why it should be outright excluded. “Well most gamers do/don’t like it!” is never an actual argument - in fact, it’s often a go-to response people use when they know they are wrong logically and have no evidence to back up their position.
I did find this interesting though:
> It wasn’t much of a “smart invention” having been taken from the then dominant trend of advanced movement shooters.

I think it’s definitely false that being able to float in the air for a second changes “how the maps are designed” - if that were true, the Halo 5 maps would be unplayable and this riot over these functions would’ve happened many years ago. Also, borrowing from trends is the name of the FPS game! Halo never had a full sprint but when they introduced it, we didn’t complain just because it was always in COD first. BUT that said, I really really like this idea about the LR utilities and would love to see how they could do that.
Anyway PLZ INCLUDE DIS FEAT
