Per the end of year community update … we FINALLY know what reward we are getting for reaching SR152. The “Watchdog” Armor Coating + Weapon Skin. To be honest, it looks so sick and I’m glad I chose to get on the grind 10 months ago (I think I’ll make it!). I think that is a perfect way to reward those who stuck around all this time. With the fall release window confirmed, I personally think this game should launch on the 20th anniversary of halo (November 15th). But it could easily happen sooner! So for anyone wondering if they can reach sr152 before then, just keep this window as a solid reference for your daily xp grind. Good luck everyone!

Well it’s “armor coating” so not so much a set as just a color scheme for any set it seems.

You can but it would take a lot of grinding… Just subtract how much xp you have from the 50 million you need and divide by 52 and that will give you a good goal of xp per week.
Really looking forward from going from 138 to 152 before infinite! wish me luck!
At 149 now, and so glad I now have until the fall to get to 152. Mainly cause I never play H5 and only play Fiesta when I do play it (which takes forever to rank up with the low XP count in those games). So glad I have time

Are we absolutely certain that that coating is for Halo 5’s maximum rank? From the wording in that update, I interpreted it as “Halo 5 didn’t do a good job of rewarding players for reaching the highest rank, so reaching the max rank in Infinite rewards you with this coating and weapon skin.”

”Halo 5 didn’t do a great job at rewarding our most engaged players (SR 152s), so we’ve added a few tokens of appreciation in Halo Infinite to help make up for that.”

I’m secretly hoping there’s more that they’re not telling us about at this point. I do like the armor coating and the weapon skill… definitely looks slick!! Can’t wait to get it… it would be cool if they had a whole “152” set in Infinite, ya know… weapon skin, armour, emblem (and whatever else we can customize)… that’d be pretty cool!!
Not the biggest fan of the armor coating since it looks like any other color combo from previous games. The AR skin looks dope, I’m curious how weapon coatings will work and if they can be applied to all weapons or only specific weapons. I’m gonna guess it will be only for the AR.

Also the weapon coating that was shown to work on the BR / AR, possibly others. They said they were going to have multiple rewards for 152 and they only showed 2 of them. There could be more little things aside from those so hopefully they clarify if those 3 coatings are all there is.
I’m hoping Halo 5 comes to pc so I can play again since my xbox broke about a year ago its going to suck not being able to get this coating because I can’t play.

I agree. I don’t think this armor coating is really going to stand out. There are probably even going to be others with the same colors, just in different places. So will anyone really know that you have the one for reaching 152 in H5?

Hopefully they double down and also give us an emblem or a banner in order to better communicate to others that we went through this horrible grind lol. I also agree on the concerns about the armor coating not standing out.
I don’t think an armor coating is a sufficient reward for reaching 152. That’s just as bad as getting an emblem.

What do you personally want? I want an emblem, armor, nameplate and/or map all together. With that said the map would eventually be available for all players over time. Hint hint 343 Please consider this. <3
