Just wanted to know if there will be an update for higher ranks then SR130? I would be very disappointed if they don’t.
I would like to know if they have plans to or not as well. It seemed ridiculously easy and fast to rank up compared to other Halo games. I don’t want to hit 130 within the next week or so then have nowhere else to go the rest of the time I play the game.
I agree with you. I was quite annoyed to find out it stops at SR130. 343 are going to lose many players due to this.
If they lose players it will be because they’ve got nothing else to play for but rank, so who cares?
If you have to get to 150, or 200, or 3 or 400 to play the game, or to enjoy playing the game, maybe you should be playing something else.
Something you’ve got a real reason to play.
This topic has been done to death but what the hell.
All I want to see is a new specialisation that gets me my CQB armor back, and if we’re not getting new specialisations god forbid they bring in the COD system where your ultimate goal is to start all over again… and again, and again.
It is capped, like in Reach. But I have no clue when they will remove the cap. Also what got me thinking. What happens with the XP that you’re accumulating now? Is it like in Reach, stored invisible in the background somewhere until the cap is removed. Or do you just lose these points?
it should go up to SR343
There should be two more specialisations and at least 100 more basic Spartan Ranks.
This way, every weapon has a specialisation skin (Light Rifle and Storm Rifle don’t have one), and you would be SR150, which is a much more “satisfying” number than 130.
After that, there should be AT LEAST 100 more Spartan Ranks, which take about 100,000 XP each to rank up.

It’s not capped in the same why as Reach, at least not anymore those who hacked the game at release found this out. Originally there was a level 70 cap that applied to most players, more along the lines of the Reach cap. Some people hacked the game in order to rank up and unlock everything, they showed that 130 is the highest built in rank. If they add new ranks as people are hoping it wont be be lifting a barrier to something that exists, it will literally be adding something that is not yet there.

The cap was raised from SR70 to SR90 to SR110 and finally to SR130. I don’t think it will be raised any further as adding new content into a game isn’t easy. Try and get to 100% commendations instead.
This is why skill rank is important, it gives you an ever changing number to work towards rather than numbers and exp.

good idea.
With 10 levels per week, there should be at least 999 level to keep me busy for next 2 years. That would be nice.

I wouldn’t mind the cod system, if when you hit max rank you could choose to unlock a certain piece of armour or an emblem you might normally struggle to get. Then they could add more armour and emblems and keep the game moving.

That’s a pretty good idea and far more appealing to me than 1-50.

lol, by the time i hit SR343, Halo 5 will be released.
Their shouldn’t be a limit at all.
Now, what I mean here is I don’t want a higher rank cap, I don’t want a limit at all. I’m tired seeing the same exact number, and no one over it. Now, before you check I have never actually reached any of the highest ranks in any of the halo games, and I probably never will (even in Halo 4, since I barely play the online at all, even for Spartan Ops, I usually play with friends or alone) but I’m tired of seeing it anyway, and I’m not just talking about halo. 10th prestige in COD is a good example too. But I no longer wish to see these limits. Why limit it? Why not just make a ranking system with no limit? where you can be level 450 or lvl 1000 or etc, etc, you get the idea. Or how about this: a ranking system that raises the rank cap every time a certain number of people reach it. It doable, Bungie did it in reach, given it was only once, but it can be done. Maybe not for the halo 4 engine, but H5 maybe?
Now, I’m probably going to be flamed for this with a long list of how that wouldn’t work. But its something I want to see at least.
Also: Yes, I do believe they should at least raise the rank to at least 343
even though I would never reach it.
I think Reach’s, where it went 20,000,000 cR is needed as currently it is onnly 3,400,000 exp, which can be done ALOT easier obviously.
I think 130 is an odd number to end on. Hopefully there will be more ranks.

I agree here…
