A few days ago my bro and were I getting ready to play some team slayer.But when I signed in I noticed that my Sr rank went back 1… I figured it wold fix itself but the next day it was still messed up!! It’s strange… when I play offline my correct Sr shows up which is Sr34 but as soon as I get online to play it says Sr1… and nothing I do fixes it… Does anyone have any suggestions? I cant do challenges or earn any points online… it really sucks…
That’s a good question, I get that sometimes too.
Also when viewing hte service record of an offline friend, thir SR rank shows as SR1. Surely they will be working to fix buggy things like this…

This happened to me already but the first time it only took a few hours to fix… but it’s been 2 days… but get this, I can earn points and rank up only if I play offline? It’s crazy lol.
Same, I should be SR47 but my it tells my that I’m SR1. however when i look at my service record it say SR47. I hope 343 fix this soon.
You are in what 343 calls a “hopper” server. You are in a backup server, I was stuck in a backup server since Tuesday but luckily I got my rank back today(Sunday, 6PM PST).
Some people have been stuck for a hour, others days. I was unlucky and got almost a week stuck in it. There’s little information about this since 343 doesn’t say anything to us and I couldn’t find a support email to contact them directly.

Been out for almost 8 hours or so. I’ve noticed when I go onto waypoint to look at my service record it says “this player hasn’t played this game yet”. An when I went on halotracker to update my stats it says halowaypoint doesn’t recognize your gamer tag. When I have the game up and running my service record shows there, but not in the lobby as I am forced into the back up servers for playing matchmaking as SR-1 like everyone else here.

Yup, you’re in a hopper server. You’ll have to wait it out sadly, like I did. It sucks, I know.
I found myself as an SR-1 in the back-up server last night, oddly though was the fact that during the couple of games i played, there was a couple of higher ranked players among the mainly SR-1’s, so how does this happen??

Thanks for the confirmation. I don’t think that this solution of the back up servers is fair nor does it solve the problem of the server being messed up. By the time the unfortunate ones get out of the loop their friends surpass them plenty by rank and commendations. I kind of miss the way it was, it was fair when the servers went down for everyone not just a select few. This would give time for the impatient to flee, the servers to get fixed, and the ones who had the patience and dedication were rewarded when the servers returned. 1,000 xp per match isn’t enough…and what guarantees this xp to really count? Does it? I think those who reported being the loop should have more to report on…maybe a form to fill out and update how long they have been in the loop so they can get some kind of reimbursement, like double xp codes or something. Just a thought. That or an upgrade for the servers is due
