I bought all the dlc and really wanna play a dlc only playlist, but i cant stand Reach’s (vanilla reach’s) settings. population is only around 300 so they dont have much to lose if less people play it because of it which I dont think will happen anyways lol
why they didnt universally apply the tu still confuses me.

i would think so unless there are actually people who prefer vanilla reach to TU reach which would baffle me
I hate it too. I played DLC earlier because of the Jackpot, and it felt a lot different. Pretty annoying actually. Went straight to MLG after.
I, like many other people, would actually play Squad DLC if it was TU’d.
I don’t mind TU or Vanilla, whichever one attracts more people would be better for me.
The main reason it won’t be TU’d is due to Invasion being playable on that playlist, there a topic that explained why TU’d Invasion wouldn’t work and how it would break the unbalanced gameplay already in Invasion.

Well, considering it’s actually the individual gametypes, and not the playlist itself that are TU’d, I don’t see why this should be an issue. With the size of the maps in Squad DLC and teams only being a max of 6 players full bloom makes all games play painfully slow.

They don’t want to mix & match the TU options with Vanilla options, it will be more confusing for some players.

The entire game is a mix and match. Just because that mix and max is separated by playlists doesn’t mean their is any less confusion. Players still regularly come on this forum asking what the TU is and what it does.
If that is really the issue, then thy should just remove invasion from Squad DLC. It seems like the people who care enough to play invasion in the first place would have already purchased the Noble MP, and if they haven’t I don’t see how thy can stand to play the same two maps over and over again.
I can almost guarantee that if Squad DLC was updated that the population would immediately and permanently increase.

Sure, the entire game is a mix & match, but playlists individually, no, each TU playlist has a small prefix in the description explaining it has TU settings enabled, and Vanilla doesn’t, in Squad DLC, it will have to explain why the gameplay is different which won’t be able to fit.
Removing Invasion from the Squad DLC playlist would be a mistake, Breakpoint rarely shows up in the Invasion playlist due to the lack of players who own the Noble DLC, it is pretty much the only place to play it right now.
Moa, forgive me if I don’t sympathize with the people who want to play one gametype on one map when it I don’t get to play on multiple maps that I purchase and now if I want a realistic shot at getting to enjoy those maps I have to play on settings that I can’t stand.
Invasion is a niche, and it carries a decent population. If those players can’t be bothered to spend $5 - $10 so that thy can play invasion on more than two maps then it’s logical to assume they must simply not care.
Squad DLC typically has a population around 250. How many of those players do you really think are searching in the playlist just to play invasion on breakpoint. I doubt it’s more than 1/10. So if disappointing 25 players will cause the population to rise to slightly more reasonable levels where more players can play a gametype they prefer on maps they paid for then I’m all for it, and I’m sure others are too.
