How about instead of moving at one base or sprinting and not being able to shoot, we can implement a variable acceleration the same as aiming but with movement speed.
As we move our joystick further from center we gradually go faster until a hard jog so we can at least still shoot. I think this would create a much more reasonable aspect and interesting one to the game competitively. Right now we can just walk basically. But if we have variable speeds till hard sprint we can still slide etc with that ability. We create harder gunfights to predict etc. Any thoughts? Also you don’t have to remove your aiming thumb either to press a rando button. Plus you never have to put your weapon down! I mean what super spartan would? Tom cruise can run and shoot lol
I think this is the answer. Get best of both worlds?
It would be cool if there was a kind of ‘Classic’ playlist which allows people to play Halo without thrusters/sprint/clamber/charge/ground pound:
AR + Magnum start, all weapons on the map are pickups (removing the markers/indicators of the power weapons, i.e. “10 seconds to Plasma Caster!” etc.)
And there could be an Active Camouflage or Overshield power up on the map (in orb format)?
And the playlist could mostly be made of maps from older games, though the size of the H5 remakes might have to be reduced due to the lack of spartan abilities/sprint.
It’s doable in custom games, so why not make a playlist like this for the Halo veterans who want to experience H5 in the way the enjoyed the previous games?

I suggested this earlier today and people yelled at me saying I should enjoy Halo. All it has to be is a playlist. Even have forgers recreate 1-3 maps.
Ya for sure I was trying not to separate the community was all
I guess people only reply in the threads they can “yoink” at people in. No one wants to converse over a better way or compromise

Because we have already tried conversation and compromise before. It didn’t work well.
the only way to really solve the sprint issue for the ones against it is make a social classic playlist. other then that there is no other reason to change anything up about the game.

It’s not like there’s some solution that we just haven’t thought of yet. These threads have been done to death. Everything that can be said on the matter has been.

Exactly this. Any subject that pertains to Sprint, for those that like it and those that don’t, has been said and done now. The only thing left is to keep on saying them.
No thanks, its fine the way it is.
Also when you sprint your guy is moving really quite fast, what with a super suit and augmentations, it’d be tough to aim straight moving at those speeds.

I realise that but that’s a full on sprint lol. I was meaning a hard jog. One where its harder to aim yes but that’s for the ability of moving faster. You get stronger in one suspect and worse on another but that’s the beauty it balances itself out
