I use sprint and i can’t tell you how many times i have gotten away with it. Sad thing is i get a distraction for my team most the time ever since i starded doing this i rarley die now but i don’t think halo should be played like this but on this game it’s more of smart move because you don’t die often.
Personally, I don’t like sprinting away because I will usually get killed by the same guy, or by someone else. It’s easier to just stick it out and use thrusters/cover to outmaneuver the opponent.

Dude escaping death is easier than ever before WAY EASIER. Just run thrust around a corner sprint, clamber thrust and then your shield is back. And by then the guy chasing you is desperate and he will make a mistake which leads to an easy kill for you.
I find it funny because 343 sprint supporters kept saying that 343 was fixing this problem yet they made it way worse
Thruster is the main culprit now. With out it you would never get that “head start”. Remember, you can’t start sprinting while getting shot. Thruster gives you just enough space.
Edit: Halo 4 is still the easiest Halo game to stay alive in.
