- So a lot of people have been saying sprinting is useless in this game but I figured out this trick you can do to legit launch yourself with combining sprinting, sliding and a downhill incline.
- If you’ve played a ton of H5 and are very good at utilizing the movement potential you might already see where this is going.
- it is a little different though so basically if you sprint, jump and hold crouch over a hill or any small downhill incline and land on it while holding crouch you will automatically slide on that hill launching you crazy far and if you combine it with a jump at the end to carry the momentum you can speed up substantially.
- Idk why people have not noticed this but it’s something I wanted to share to make people who are in the sprint is useless camp to change their mind.
-
I’m trying to find more movement mechanisms in this game and skill jumps on the maps you can do hopefully this is not it.
-what do you guys think about this? Need it or keep it?
yeah Drop Slide’s been known since Day 1, Shyway has a video on YT about it. I don’t think it’s OP, just higher mobility in pretty niche situations. It’s nice, and it comes at more of a cost than previous sprint iterations because you can’t interrupt the whole thing so you’ve gotta commit

Damn here I was thinking I pioneered something here

I’m sure it’s the first thing he tried lol! Keep experimenting though! there are all kinds of super zany things you can do, especially with equipment. I like grappling my teammates and swinging around them myself, or skewer jumping lol
its more people have a limited view on what sprint should be. To many, they only view it as a speed boost and nothing else. In infinite, its more of a system to gain movement utility via abilities like the drop slide. Its no where near as strong as h5, and sprint in itself is less important. But it does add enough imo to be fine in its current state

Nah lol. I also found it out myself the first day as well. No one pioneered it in this game. Its basically a carry over from playing 5 so much that we’d all try an see if it works in infinite.
