I like sprint, however I would like the ability to toggle it on/off in custom games.
Does giving everyone sprint break the game in your opinion or do you love it?
i love sprint, just running, speeds things up, BUT , i would like a toggle for it, it shouldn’t be core built into halo 4, customs etc from halo need no sprint to work.
Do I love it? No. I like sprint though and disagree with people that getting rid of it will make Halo more Halo.
If some people would want to play customs without sprint, it could be made a toggle and that’d be fine. I just think that the vanilla version should include sprint.

It’s just unnecessary. One of the most obvious features from modern shooters which are just in Halo for the sake of being there.
I like it, but strangely enough I never use it. Force of habit?
There should be in option to toggle it on or off.
Sprint made 343 think we needed bigger maps since you can run alot faster, Bigger maps means more haters ect.

You can move faster without allowing players to easily slip into cover when being shot. Imagine playing Halo with 150% base movement speed but no sprint. How much harder is it going to be to get kills when people can slip into cover? That’d probably be around the speed you’d need to put things to balance out the average travel times.
Sprint also makes flanking more worthwhile and can allow a group to chase down a wounded player. Sprinting also makes charging a flag carrier less effective, since they’re slowed down while they’re shot.
There’s probably other stuff I’m not thinking of, but Sprint honestly just feels pretty good in my opinion. I don’t think I can see Halo going back to no-sprint.
What is up all of your -Yoinks!-? Sprint is possibly the most attractive feature of Halo 4. It makes the noobs better, and the pros slightly better. This leaves us with basically no difference when compared to the other Halo games.
Honestly, I think sprint should have been implemented since Halo 2.
I guess sprint is fine in BTB, however it’s not in 4v4 maps. 343 should at least give us an option to turn it off.

Please, Halo 2 would’ve been a joke if it included sprint. The base speed was perfect. Imagine 8 people sprinting around midship or warlock, Halo 2 would’ve sucked badly with sprint.

Halo 2 maps weren’t designed with Sprint in mind. If Sprint had been in Halo 2, and Halo 2 maps were designed with Sprint in mind, things might have been different.

And since maps are designed with sprint in mind they’re bigger. Even the small maps are big. I think that Team Doubles wasn’t in from the start because of exactly that. Then even 4v4 is also suffering from this.
Just like loadouts being an illusion of freedom so is sprint an illusion of faster gameplay.

Well said!
i have no sprint gametype, and imo this game is more fun with sprint. atleast it gives you the feeling of moving faster then just upping the movement speed.
