I know this is a very touchy subject, but i can’t help but think im the only one who likes them. I can see why people have an issue with spartan charge as it’s an easy kill and the motion tracker being 18m doesn’t help at all. But what if the motion tracker was 25m? Would you be okay with spartan charge then? Would it be enough to make better gameplay? Sprinting to me is okay, i know the maps had to be stretched out in order for sprinting to be implemented, but i like it. What ideas do you have to make sprinting and spartan charge better?
The radar really needs some fixing. Idk how many time I was bamboozled from behind cuz I didn’t react in a fourth of a second

That problem i agree with, the motion tracker NEEDS to be at least 25m. That way the game would be more enjoyable
I have the same opportunity to use the tools available as everybody else, so for me I dont see it as a problem.

Thats how i view it man, like i get why some people are upset about it, and i somewhat agree that the motion tracker range should be increased, but you got to adapt and survive man. You have the exact same tools as others, learn them, use them. It’s not that hard.
I feel like Spartan Charge should either be removed, or the radar should be increased. I would prefer it to be removed. If they are going to keep it, then there should be some sort of charge up time like the ground pound i think

I like the charge up idea, that gives other players a chance to dodge, but i think increasing the motion tracker would be the best thing. Either way im not bothered and i like spartan charge.
A lot of times, I miss the spartan charge or I die because the enemy is able to smack me before they get hit. They finally took my advice or finally learned. If you can spot them on your radar before they get you, you can easily juke them. Sure its small, but you know when they are close enough.

Yeah that happens to me too! I don’t always hit them with it, more often than not i miss lmao i think the key is to watch the motion tracker, not 100% of the time but keep a close eye on it. I mean the tools and abilities are there for you to use too, don’t neglect them and then complain because you died lol
The sprint Spartan charge AR combo is the new sprint double melee from halo reach
its a panic button that rewards people for sprinting around the map with no awareness like idiots

“From behind”
God forbid someone comes from behind and kills you… They have the advantage in that situation.
Radar is fine as it is as it provides some assistance, but not so much that it’s a crutch. Spartan charge is not nearly as OP as people still make it out to be. It can be annoying, yes, but anyone sprinting around maps at full tilt is putting themselves at a disadvantage. They have little or no situation awareness and their weapon is down. They are often easy to pick off.
Unless they come from behind, a Spartan charge is fairly avoidable. And since a melee from behind is the same result, there’s nothing special about a Spartan charge from behind.
If an enemy gets behind you, then they inherently have advantage over you and should easily get the kill, whereas you would need to be lucky or be much more skilled than them (they are a complete noob, you are very experienced).

I have to agree with you man, people come up from behind all the time, it just happens. They usually assassinate though. Spartan charge isn’t as bad as people say, they make it out to be some unholy thing from hell.

Exactly, I just hate it when there are threads about this. It’s like they can’t adapt to new things that makes it fun. Its so dumb that they complain when they die and they blame the game. Honestly, i’m just gonna say it, the complainers suck. They are a bunch of whiny little -Yoinks!- who think they are so good because of Halo 3. I played a lot of halo 2 in my days too and I was able to adapt to halo 5 easily. Unless they are making constructive criticism about certain part of the map mechanics or bugs about the game mechanics then I am fine with that, but much of the time they can’t even react that fast and do a simple melee in the face or do a small dodge to the right. Best trick is to boost right when they activate it. They can’t control the spartan charge after they launch it so they are committed to one direction. Sometimes it homes which it shouldn’t, but if you can time it at that exact moment you basically dodged it.
I think this should go to the The sprint mega thread.

I 100% agree dude, it’s not that hard to use. You just gotta be more aware while playing. I do agree that a lot of people complain, im more than happy to see constructive criticism going on, but a lot of the time it’s just people having an outburst. I remember seeing one post about ground pound and how it’s the worst thing ever lol all because he died from it. It’s seriously the easiest thing to doge, you can hear it charging up, so at that instant, you move. I’ve played all Halo games and this is easy to adapt to, i mean it took me a few days but i got the hang of it quite quickly.
I see it as a game feature that was heavily considered while designing the gameplay, so it’s supposed to be there. Learn to counter it, it’s not too hard. If you keep constant fire on an enemy that spartan charges you, their recoil animation gives you enough time to kill them before they can place their final kill shot. The radar isn’t the issue because you can still hear players running around you, even if they’re not on the radar yet.

I was going to but a lot of people complain about spartan charge too, so i decided to stick them both together.

Exactly! I mean it’s not that hard to learn new gameplay. The tools are there for you to use as well, it’s not like certain players have them and you don’t. I don’t see the problem with these two new features.

I get why some people are upset about them, i really do. But Halo can’t stay the same forever, im sure there would be people who would be upset with that too. You cant please everyone man. I like them because it makes the game fast pace, and while i agree that Halo 5 could be improved, these two features are what i like the most.
