How about we add a classic playlist where their are no spartan abilities (maybe a faster moving basespeed/higher jump) and br starts.
It can even be a weakened playlist to see how it works and see if enough people like it.

You know you can play like this in customs, right? Plenty of people have made HCE-H3 maps specifically for people to do this.
BR starts in Halo 5 would be silly. You would pretty much have the H2A multiplayer with what you described and so you might as well start up the MCC
Or just play the game as it was built for. They made halo 2 anniversary around not having sprint so go play that if that’s what you care about. The lack of sprint isn’t what gives halo it’s identity. What gives it the identity of halo is: even starts and weapons pick ups. Halo 5 has both of these so it is a halo game. Really see no reason people still complain about this, move on.
I think there should be a classic playlist but not for this reason. Halo 5 just lacks playlist and everything just starts to get to boring quickly.

I don’t want this playlist personally, this would be to satisfy the people who have recently started no spring threads or have supported such threads.
Though it would be fun to play a few matches I think.

If this is what your asking, why is the topic named Sprint Solution, rather than Classic Playlist?

Because this is in response to people beginning to request a no sprint Halo. It would be a solution to the “issue” some people have with sprint
Actually, that sounds like a good idea.
They should make a classic playlist and have the forge community make like 4 remade maps specifically for it.
I support a classic playlist op, however like others have said, h5 is more built toward the current movement system. All of the current maps wouldn’t work well with classic play. If you whatch 343s sprint vids you’ll see what I mean, they made this game SPECIFICALLY to go hand and hand with the movements we have now. Even forge remakes have issues.
A classic playlist is a great idea, even if it’s a weekend thing. But knowin 343, their thought process is thinking that more playlists is a tool of Satan.
having custom games isn’t enough. It would be if there were a custom lobby search, but there isn’t. And so, it’s not available to everyone who wishes.
There’s already a lack of playlists the community wants. The reason they’re not in is because the population isn’t big enough to support more. Halo 3 had a massive population and could easily divide the community amongst a bunch of playlists.
Low pop isn’t just a Halo problem. CoD, BF, Battlefront–they’re all not where they used to be. WEhether this is because of genre fatigue or too many FPS’s on the market, who can say?
Also, with MCC and custom games in Halo 5, I don’t see the need for a classic playlist.
I like the sprint
Correct me if I am wrong, but I could have sworn 343 released a poll if there should be a " no sprint " option way back before Halo 5 came out, and the majority as I recalled voted they want a no sprint option in games.
Don’t know if I can find it, but I’ll see if I can.

You mean the MCC that’s still horribly broken?
Why not?
give us a classic (an actual classic list not that half -Yoinked!- shiza they gave us in h4) and see what happens
it can’t make the game worse
oh and the real solution to sprint is this:
remove sprint all together and buff base movement speed to 110%

no population numbers = no support for your claim. Halo is still in the top 10 most played games on the xbox meaning it has a healthy population

Healthy enough to add a bunch more playlists? You don’t know that. So don’t challenge comments for their lack of evidence.
We’re just talkin’ here!

Their poll said only 11% of voters wanted no sprint.
Of course if you talk to the 11%ers about it, it’s all some big conspiracy.

In that case, suggest a playlist where sprint is removed, but spartan abilities remain in.
