Sprint Poll

Recently, somewhere online, I heard about a poll that took place a few years ago on whether or not the Sprint was good in halo. At that time, I was someone who had stopped having anything to do with Halo completely for many reasons and did not even realize that poll was going on. Right now, I am back on the hype-train for infinite and Master Chief collection and I really have High Hopes. I also love what 343 is doing with Master Chief collection. But is anyone else in the same boat of leaving, but now slowly getting back into halo? I feel like having a poll like that is a dangerous idea to get community feedback. I feel frustrated that myself and none of my friends knew about it. Not that Sprint would be the end of the world necessarily, but it just worries me that 343 is out of touch with their community as sprint wasn’t even the main reason I stopped playing.

Honestly, most polls won’t even catch 343i’s eye, let alone have a major impact in their decision-making processes.

If we’re talking poll thoughts though, my vote would be cast as “Couldn’t care less either way”. It makes no difference to me if Sprint stays or goes for Infinite. I didn’t enjoy Reach/4/5 less because of it nor did I enjoy them more because of it (On the other hand, I DO find myself missing it a little when trying to traverse large distances in certain missions or maps and no vehicles are available) and my opinions of Infinite won’t be swayed by it either.

There was already an official poll on this site a while back that was made by a 343 employee and the result was overwhelmingly no-sprint. If that didn’t do much, no other poll will.

OP, run one on /r/halo

I suspect this thread will get a lock because we have a megathread for movement mechanics: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/29568daf8cd14083bd1b70a810bf3581/topics/the-return-of-classic-movement-mechanics/dbb9e311-d2f8-48b5-9826-259bffe75cac/posts

Link. It seems the poll results are now hidden. I wonder why. Guess you’ll just have to take my word for it.
