Sprint has been discussed and polled to death. Perhaps use the search function to find some threads where the topic has been fleshed out at length.
I like Sprint, it’s fun.

It is because it is something that people are fixated on. If 343i removed it there would be some other feature that the “community” would -Yoink- about.
We just like to blame all our troubles on one game feature that has been in Halo for 5 years.
Halo is on a new way, i don’t understand why we need to remove it, in addition, it suits very well with Halo 5!

Because 343 has built every map so far with Sprint in mind, if Sprint is gone then the maps will be ruined. So, too remove Sprint, either new maps need to be made and the old ones scrapped or the old ones redone. Either way resources are wasted. That’s why Halo (5) needs Sprint.
The faster paced gameplay due to Sprint and the thruster pack also takes Halo in a new and enjoyable direction, something you can’t find or recreate in any of the previous games unfortunately.
