I was watching the Halo 4 machinima livestream last night and I noticed kovic would sprint head first towards an enemy and spam melee. I picked up on the fact that he was fairly successful in trying this, sprint melee in Reach was game breaking in certain situations.
Do you think we should ad a 1 second melee delay to prevent this?
all i can say in halo 4 you move like the butterfly and sting like the bee
It’s now balanced where if your being shot while sprinting, you slow down quite a lot. This way, if you see someone coming in for a melee, you just keep some AR fire on them and they will never make it in time.
Plus if you back up while shooting them you’ll ensure that they can’t land a melee and essentially they’ll be screwed at that point. I’ll probably be mad if I get rushed by multiple people trying to sprint melee at once though.

Not to mention melee bleedthrough returning.
