Come on guys are super soldiers gonna’ power walk every where.
Or they can all run at the same speed all game long. Marathon runners are more impressive than Sprinters.
Sprinting is for wimps. If Chief can run at the same speed all game long for 10 minutes…now that’s a super soldier. Sprint a little and then catch your breath? Weaksauce. I don’t want a Super Soldier that gets winded after every 10 yards.

Marathon runners don’t Sprint, mostly just jog. And Master cheif’s Sprint is ALOT faster than their sprint.
People who insist upon baiting the sprint-haters are just as bad as they are. The way to make it stop is to ignore it.
No.
His default movement speed should be “sprint” speed. We don’t need a separate animation.

No, OP. I will not respond to your flame bait. You know very well how some of this community feels about sprint.
In cutscenes they run and I dont think a spartan can get winded that easily. Plus we only played as spartan3s imagine a full blown spartan2 or a spartan4 running full tilt into battle.
No, it’s unnecessary. If the movement ratios are good enough, then Sprint isn’t required.
Besides, Sprint ruins small map potential and we end up needing Countdown and Boardwalk-size maps in our 4v4 playlists to accommodate something that we didn’t even need before.

Come on, man. We’re don’t add anything to multiplayer because it’s cool to think about. It doesn’t make good gameplay, plain and simple.
Keep that stuff in campaign or cutscenes.
I would rather have a high base speed than a low base speed with sprint to make up for it.
I like Sprint being back in the game.
Then why shouldn’t we be able to shoot while sprinting, if we’re super soldiers? Why can’t we climb over obstacles if we’re super soldiers? Why is there recoil when a 2000 pound super-soldier is firing a gun?
Tell me; why?
Here are the conditions under which Sprint is reasonable:
-
Base movement speed is not slowed to a crawl in order to make it useful a la Reach. Movement speed needs to be faster than it ever has been if 343 wants to follow through on their promise of finally making us super-soldiers.
-
It must be unlimited use and not an armour ability. Everyone can sprint, and Spartans can sprint almost indefinitely. If it’s in the game it needs to be something that is a basic ability like crouching or melee.
-
Physics needs to be changed so that sprinting up a ramp does not send you flying off the end of that ramp.
Do this and you’ll hear no complaints from me.

I agree with his idea.

You haven’t answered my questions.
If we truly are super soldiers we should have almost unlimited sprint and be able to fire while sprinting.

It’s painfully obvious and he still hasn’t answered.
Instead of fighting the idea of sprint being in the game…
Your efforts would be more fruitful to insure that matchmaking allows each person to decide for themselves whether or not sprint is in the server they are searching for. A LA SERVER BROWSERS!
Just because you don’t like sprint doesn’t mean the entire game, and community for that matter, should do without it.
