Sprint in Infinite

So I have seen all the posts about whether or not sprint should/will come back in infinite, and I’m confused. I just rewatched the game play videos and chief clearly sprint ts and what looks like slides. Since that’s the case, why all the speculation if its clearly in the game. I doubt it can be changed since the whole sandbox would be based around it.

i’ll give you one better why sprint?

During the E3 Demo of Halo Infinite you can see the Sprint but of corse the Spartan Charge has been deleted

I personal dont like sprint. And Halo does not need it.
I think the main reason to implement sprint or general higher speed is just to please kids with adhd.
At least i do not see the benefits of higher speed. Temporary sprints have a slightly skill component, but halo worked fine without it.

But if Halo never needed sprint, why was it planned all the way back in the earliest days of Halo 2’s creation? (I very much doubt it was to ‘please kids with adhd’.) In fact the function is still there, it was simply replaced with Chief comically flipping everyone the bird with both hands. It got cut like much of everything else. Clearly Bungie wanted to put it in but when they had to shrink the game down to meet the time constraint, they ended up cutting it.

I never knew they planned H2 with sprint. But it sounds like they decided the game would work without it.
The fact they released H3, Reach and H4 without standard sprint seems they made up their mind that the game does not need it.
After all, no Halo had permanent sprinting ability, so why change that? What would be the benefit?

Although i never played H5 . Did the game benefits from sprint?

The debate is more about whether sprint will greatly impact level design and balancing. I personally don’t think so, because from what I’ve seen of sprint so far it doesn’t seem to increase your speed much, if at all, and the only function it seems to serve is to set up the slide. If there’s barely any speed increase, from sprint, I don’t see how it would affect level design much at all.

Sprint was not cut because of time constraints or anything like that. It was cut because of pacing issues. Don’t spread misinformation.

Sprint is in Halo Infinite. Wether you like it or not is up to you. Personally, I doubt it’s going anywhere anytime soon.
