For many halo fans after the fall of Halo 4 many of us had moved to other games such as BF and that waste of a game called cod. However sprint people say does not belong in halo.
This is is what I say
When playing halo 5 beta, I noticed while using sprint I was able to accomplish many trick jumps through out the maps. This provided the foundation of many of my kills. How well jumping to another platform with the aid of sprint allowed me to flank and kill my enemy.
If therotically we increased the movement speed ( like everyone’s saying) to 120% then this will break the game. Think about it. Increasing speed by 20% will make the Spartan always at sprinting speed. Therefore the player movement will be sloppy, also since auto aim is very minimal in this game more shots will miss there target. therefore creating many annoying situations and very long gameplay.
Also so many armour abilities such as slide and charge will then be eliminated. To me personally I will miss these as I very frequently use them. For example when I sprint around a corner and an enemy suprises me. I would slide therefore the player will mis his first couple burst which will allow me to reverse his attack.
Sprinting if you havnt noticed also eliminates camping, for example say a person is camping with a sniper, with the aid of sprint I could charge or surprise the player therefore this would throw the player of. Then I could kill him. This I have noticed had eliminated a lot of camping in any game I had played.
Also say if you wanted to do your 20% thing a sniper could become obsolete because people are moving around to fast. This meaning it would put be a very effective weapon,
lastly the shield recharge thing with sprint really balances gameplay as it prevents people to always keep sprinting. This is because the players shield will not recharge therefore allowing your team members to finish of an enemy.
i think if sprint was not in the game, halo would die out as all these new paths it has opened up will be shut. Also if you say to remove sprint and keep same speed, well that’s no fun as player movement and flow will be very slow.
