Sprint began the death of Halo

That is all.

Sprint makes the game better imo.

Any reasons? No? Moving on…

Please explain why

> Any reasons? No? Moving on…

The ridiculous sprint duration and the lack of a stopping power effect recently shown in a certain video.

Did you try to spell “Began”?

Put more thought into a post next time, please.

Halo is not an insta kill game. The perfect pace of play lies somewhere in between H3’s and H2’s. Sprint ruins that, and is simply out of place in Halo.

Sprint being an OPTIONAL gameplay mechanic made a bunch of crap on both players and devs, I agree.

Sprint being something everyone can do, with an additional downside to using it mid-fight, can make things much better for the devs and the players.

> with an additional downside to using it mid-fight

There isn’t one though. It lasts twice as long as Reach’s and there is almost no drawback to getting shot while sprinting.

I disagree. Sprint is a game feature in multiple shooters and manages not be be a negative aspect of the game. Even in slow time-to-kill games like Gears.

Bungie’s implementation of sprint was less then ideal, but dont confuse a poor implementation of sprint with sprint being inherently bad for Halo.

Sprint is a horrible addition simply for the double melee and sword lunge mechanics.

Calling it the death of Halo is a bit melodramatic but suffice to say its terrible addition to the game. Unfortunately one of many that Halo 4 seems to be adopting.

If there is bleed through then it will be fine. I can 2-shot melee someone sprinting at me instead of trading all the time. So in All reality, Its more of the melee’s fault.

He just wasting everyone’s time, let’s move on.

This an obvious troll attempt playing off the negativity. Not because what the OP says but the OP doesn’t say to explain the reasons in the original post.

I could say Sprint saved Halo and not give any reasons. Would it make it a viable argument? No.

You are assuming that they are copy-pasting Sprint from Reach, and into Halo 4. That is false.

In Halo 4, on top of being used by all players and having its audio cue, getting shot in Sprint will slow you down.

Add to it that you also have an additional AA can help you against a sprinting, sword-slicing lunatic, making this tactic a hard thing to do, unless you are seriously not paying any attention and have music blasting in the background.

We already know that isn’t true though.

Sektor explained it though.

It is needed in the game, it makes warfare more realistic, and intense

That doesn’t excuse the OP for making this thread.

What Sektor explained is irrelevant to trolling people. Which the OP is clearly doing and not being constructive at all.

It is however, relevant to the topic of Sprint in Halo 4 and in general.

Says who? I would love to know, because from what I’ve heard, getting shot does slow you down.
