They look different from the Harbingers Cylix, so I’m confused.
It’s just the cylixes of the other Xalanyn. We don’t really know why they look different from the one the Harbinger was in yet. I’m sure we’ll find out if 343i makes story DLC.
Could it be that the symbol is a warning to not open them, and we saw the Harbinger’s appearance on hers only because it was open?

TBH I thought the Cylex might have contained Offensive Bias since it had a kind of three pronged shape.
Unless as others have said, that’s a warning, which means the big machine has marked these as under his watch.

I got the impression that the Harbinger was some kind of MVP/leader for the Endless, given that she was found in a different location to the rest of them.
Perhaps she may have had a custom Cylex?

The races that had their appearance on their Cylex, because they were catalogued to be re-seeded across the galaxy after the Halos were fired, or as in the case of the Flood Infection Form’s Cylex, was intended to be studied.
The Endless merely having a warning on their Cylexes to not open them, instead of a depiction of what they are, would reinforce that the Forerunners never intended for them to be released, and that they wanted the Endless to be forgotten forevermore.
The Harbinger’s Cylix is only seen in the open position. I expect that in the closed position, it would have the same symbol as the others.

Maybe the symbol means “locked” in forerunner glyph language? Also nothing to do with plot but I assume the xalanyn have different generic polymorphisms and 343 may want to come up with designs of them but have no finished their design yet
