Did anyone feel a little unnerved with the ending cut scene for the Composer level? I knew 343 said things were going to be a little darker this trilogy, But didnt expect to watch slow motion vaporization. Reminded me of a scene from the end mission of mass effect 2.
Yeah, it was pretty grim, wasn’t expecting it either. Now there won’t be a “next time”
Also, Halo 5 is supposed to be darker, if not the darkest Halo game in the franchise.
Well we had an entire Cities population zapped, so I wonder what they are going to do to one up that.
Off topic: We need separate forums for MP/Campaign/General disscusion for halo 4 so people can discuss the game without having it being overwhelmed by all the whiners.
My psychotic friend said, “That was cool! You’ve gotta admit, that was cool. Right?”
I loved it. The darker the better >:)
I was hoping that it could’ve been darker(lol I know) with the composer. Ultimately though they did a good job adding a darker feel to the story.

A lot of people say that, but when has 343 actually gone out and said “oh halo 5 will be the darkest game in the trilogy”…
I love how they are making it darker, I didn’t expect it either but it was really good. I love this game!

They havent. But he is right in saying 343 has stated the next two games are going to significantly more grim.
I was in shock.
I was kinda laughing… Watching her face evaporate into nothing… It was pretty cool.
I was shocked.
I think it really helped illustrate the Didact’s power.
Since we saw what the composer does on those at the facility, you can imagine what happened when the Didact fired on that earth city at the ending.
Salutes Master Chief

Well we do get to see the end results. Completely empty city. Nothing but ash piles.
Having Cortana freak out about it afterwards wasn’t very cheery, either. Really drove home the “They’re not dead, they’re imprisoned in mechanical robotic bodies forced to serve the Didact” point. Hope blowing away the Composer “killed” them.

Yeah I hope. Also thanks for all the OST samples you gave on youtube. I’ve been listening to them since E3 since they’re that good.
It really hit me like a ton of bricks but in the end like the death of cortana it keeps the game interesting and i love what they did there!
