Ok at the end of the Legendary ending we see a Halo ring, possibly showing where we might go In Halo 6
Now this is just me guessing but I think think somehow Chief and his group are going to fire that Halo ring against the Guardians and stop Cortana. The Halo’s need to be important again and what better way than using them to save everyone
Yes the Halo’s are designed to destroy all sentient life, But maybe it’s possible with the help of Halsey they could reprogram the Halo ring to destroy a new target, Forerunner Targets

Halos can be tuned to targets, yes, but biological targets. The Halos effect organisms with nervous systems, and can be tuned more specifically in that regard. But to work against constructs, like a Guardian? I’m pretty sure that doesn’t work.
However, the Halos will do one interesting thing in regards to Cortana. The Domain is actually built on Precursor technology. Activating the Halos could sever Cortana’s connections with the Domain, which would put a pretty big dent in her plan. But it wouldn’t necessarily take the Guardians out of the picture.
Not a bad idea. But I feel as if the Halo couldn’t target Guardians themselves (I don’t believe they are organic) but I still think it could somehow be used against Cortana to slow/foil her plans.
My thought was that Cortana was planning to install a Composer on that Halo. One of her lines in the final mission of Halo 5 would seem to suggest this. “…it will burn hot, and you shall be reborn in our image.”

That’s true. She if she could somehow turn the Halo ring Into a massive composer and would compose everything in one blast. That wold be scary lol

Certainly seemed to be the Didact’s intention during the Next 72 Hours story arc of Escalation. Why else would he bring one of the Composers to the ring?
