[Spoilers] Inconsistency with the Ur-Didact

Hi all,

I was reading the Halopedia entry for Halo: Escalation Issue 10, when I noticed something that doesn’t quite line up with the history of the Ur-Didact.

On Halopedia’s page for the Ur-Didact, it‘s described that, when he composed his Prometheans during the Forerunner-Flood War, “the Didact did not subject himself to Composer processing, as his new form was incompatible with the device”. The “new form” part seems to be referring to his failed attempt to become immune to the Flood through “an experimental procedure which left him disfigured”. Thus, the Didact should be immune to the Composer.

Yet, at the end of Halo: Escalation Issue 10, the Didact gets composed.

Is there an explanation for this? Does it have to do with the hundred thousand years that passed between the two events, or perhaps the Cryptum?

So as far as we know the Ur-Didact tried to only use one composer on his self.

However in the comics (which I personally despise), the Ur-Didact fell into the Composer’s Forge which is probably much stronger than a standard composer since I believe there are multiple composers. It is doubtful anything changed in 100,000 years especially since his body doesn’t appear to have suffered in the time that passed either when the last time the Didact entered a Cryptum.

He came out a shrivled mess but that can be due to the ritual performed before he entered exile.
