(Spoilers) Humans/Storm/Promethean/Unknown?

Is it just me or does it seem like 343 dont want to confirm Didact as the “Ancient Evil” ?

As you might know, they recently started talking briefly about the Didact in interviews, but when confronted with questions about him, biased with the assumption that he is the “Ancient Evil”, they seem to flinch a bit. I’ll see if I can find specific videos.

Edit: I found the video Here, at 4:50. “His persona is kind of a mixed bag, he’s a heroic figure, he’s a noble figure in history, and in some ways he feels like a god guy, but he’s much more complicated than that. And as you said, the tagline is “an ancient evil awakens”, so whatever is awakening is obviously not friendly”

Also take a look at this video from 2:40. Josh talks about “threats” on requiem, only one of which is the prometheans.

I also want to point out something about “Storm”, the religious covenant splinter group that serves as one of the main antagonist factions of Halo 4. To much controversy, they look very different from past games. It has been hinted that there is a canonical explanation for this, that they are in fact slightly “mutated” (in lack of a better word). Maybe they encountered something “life-changing” in their quest for forerunner relics?

Just brainstorming, but maybe some type of entity that has the power to control biological/neurological cells, tissue and matter?

Another thing; Might there be some canonical relevance of Flood Mode as a training exercise on the UNSC Infinity?

Perhaps there is in fact… -four factions in Halo 4 ?

Be alot easier to just edit your original post…

ahem Precursors…

Didn’t they say there would be 7 new enemy classes? Watcher, Crawler and Knight only make 3…

> Didn’t they say there would be 7 new enemy classes? Watcher, Crawler and Knight only make 3…

I never saw this. Source?

Also, they might have been talking about varieties within prometheans, you know knight battlewagon or alpha crawler.

> ahem Precursors…

I haven’t read the books or anything but I got the gist of things that they all died out or something.

> ahem Precursors…

I’m glad I didn’t have to point that out.

That used to be the gist of all spartan II’s and the forerunners too. Look who’s back. (just sayin)

Guys, just want to post these to here.

Unknown ship

Unknown ship 2

This obviously have something to do with Halo 4, because 343i said, that CEA terminals have connections with Halo 4.

Alright so im just going to throw everything that i believe about halo 4 and the “NEW” evil. So if you guys have been reading the books you Should know that The Master builder killed the UR-Didact, BUT it turns out he actually survived. Source wiki, sorry i dnt have the link on me. Anyways and im sure you guys all ready know that he transferred all his thoughts and personality to Bornstellar which technically makes him the new Didact.

So im guessing its either going to be one of the two, and chief will find the truth by one of them being his ally.

And just for other Fun Halo things. Apparently the flood was a weapon built by the “Precursors” to fight against there children the :Forerunners" during the Precursor - Forerunner war.

I got the idea that the flood was a last minute retaliation against the forerunners. The precursors unleashed the flood to spite their prodigal successors, the forerunners, as retaliation when they exterminated their civilization.

The prehistoric humans found a cure/countermeasure against the flood, but it was destroyed by the forerunners, who thought it a weapon. The forerunners did not want the humans to exceed them in power, so they waged war on them and eventually won. Where it not for the librarian, the humans would have been deleted from existence. They where instead de-evolved and exiled to their homeworld, Earth. Ironically, this lead to the forerunners own demise; Or so we thought, until now.

Correct me if wrong.

Might I imply the canonical relevance of flood mode being a training element on the UNSC Infinity?

you are absolutely right =), And im actually really excited for Flood mode. Sounds very interesting and a nice trade for Fire-Fight

Are you kidding. Spartan ops and flood mode all the way!

Check out my Flood Mode Flood Mode map concept!

Concept is pretty good, but need to work on the human side. seems to easy for the Flood. But also What do u think 343i has in store for us? as of now we know you can use claws, what other things you think well be able to use?

Kind of off topic, but I think claw is the only one by default. Might be able to use other weapons in custom games.

I originally made that concept to visualize a “flood-firefight mode”, But I think the new Flood Mode works too. As for it being unbalanced, I don’t think so. As the flood/infected only have melee weapons, it becomes tedious to close the distance. This concept however, is made for much more than 12 players, and so it becomes increasingly difficult for the humans to defend the base (but not impossible).

Very true also adding the fact that they now added turrets to bases which i think is rather cool. Has anybody messaged you about Flood mode???

> Very true also adding the fact that they now added turrets to bases which i think is rather cool. Has anybody messaged you about Flood mode???

No, but in this thread theres a guy who says he knows all about FM, due to the fact that he is in France, read the magazine, and was involved in bringing the news online. (He also claims to have been banned for a short time because of this). I don’t know. Take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks will do =)
