In the new vidoc, it was nice to see the chief mention halsey’s name… I got goosebumps because i dont think iver EVER heard them mention each-other EVER.

While I’m hoping it’s halsey, she looks different enough it might not be.

damn the books, i wish this was clear in the halo 2 campaign.
though, i’m not one for the halo lore, i just go on what i see in the campaign which isn’t stritcly accurate to the books cannon, i’m more for the multiplayer and stuff.

Yeah, details, details. The point is the all ultimately end up back on earth, more or less.
As a tangential topic about Halsey, did anyone else that was book savvy at the time have a chuckle when Carter ordered her to go to CASTLE base? In my head I imagined him continuing his sentence, adding “We need to rush you back to the plot, ma’am. Jun, make sure you die along the way or something.”
I don’t think that the lady in the trailer looks like Halsey, and I don’t think there’s a lot of reason to think that it is Halsey. As of the end of Glasslands, she’s in no position to end up on the UNSC Infinity beneath the surface of Requiem. She’s in a whole other weird sci-fi situation.

There are two pieces of evidence supporting her being on the infinity.

The Halo 4 script from the prologue video had Laskey and Halsey interacting.

4 years is a VERY VERY VERY small sentence for stealing tier 1 assets and running away with them.

She’s not going to jail for that. She’s too valuable and one of the only people in the Galaxy that knows anything about Forerunner technology. She’s going to be put to use.
This was said at the end of Glasslands. It was also said in a preview for the Thursday War that she was on the Infinity putting that knowledge to use.

Halsey ended up in a more trivial and hopeless situation in the end of Glasslands. Her last recorded account was after she survived on Onyx, ONI had her promptly arrested and brought before the head of Oni, the old and dying Admiral Margaret Parangosky. A few surviving Spartans had been made aware of her kidnappings and experiments pertaining to the SPARTAN-II project and were personally tasked with Halsey’s apprehension. Parangosky was also pissed about Halsey stealing a UNSC ship from Reach and a handful of Spartans to satisfy Halsey’s personal interests (In preserving Spartans past the Human-Covenant War). In the end of this conversation, Parangosky claims that Halsey has been effectly been “erased,” due to the fact that Halsey is officially listed as, “KIA,” and nobody would know she was still alive anyhow. Parangosky also stated that she was going to go public with the information on the Spartan-II project at some point in the near future (Halo Glasslands time). What happens to Halsey after this is all up to speculation, but her work on Onyx led to extreme advancements in Human technology, including precise slip-space travel (Due to Forerunner-Era Engineers discovered on the planet that could immediately apply this technology to any and all UNSC ships).
I have a feeling that Halsey will make an appearance in Halo 4 and she is DEFINITELY still alive and kicking in the Halo canon universe. In the ViDoc at 10:18 minutes in (respectively), I speculate that this is her… Keep in mind that Halo 4 takes place years after the events of Halo 3 and Halsey will have aged further from her last video game appearance in Halo Reach… (Just a thought)

Kidnapping Kelly was a crime, but at the end of the day she secured Forerunner technology that made the Infinity even more of a reality. And even then, Lord Hood is the one who sent Blue Team to Onyx knowing full well what Halsey did, so if you’re going to blame Halsey, make sure the blame is spread evenly to ALL who deserve it.
