I’m not sure if I can post this, but without being too information, what exactly happens in the ending, the “blue” scene before the masterchief floats in space? Did the person die or what?
Again, I’m trying not to post spoilers, but I’m confused about what happened in the blue scene.
I think I was pretty straightforward at what scene I’m referring to.

It is implied thats what happens but we dont know for sure. I for one am expect a comeback.

I believe Chief was held in a Slipspace bubble by Cortana to shield him from the debris and explosion. Or it could just be some random dream he had or something.
It was pretty sad, especially some of the things that were said.

We have 2 more games left, and the new trilogy is supposed to be based on The relationship between Cortana and chief. It would make no sense whatsoever for her to die, and she was most likely just transferred or disrupted. She may have been transferred to the Didact or composer, which is in-turn sustaining her life(like forerunner AIs, which can last for thousands of millennia.

Yeah, Halo wouldn’t feel like halo without cortana or a halo ring (even tho this happened multiple times).
If they bring her back, it better be the same one, not a different cortana if you know what i’m saying. If they do that i’d rather she stay dead.

Well not only is it about their relationship but it also “explores Chief’s humanity and what makes him tick” that with the fact that they said Halo 5 will have the darkest story out of all three makes me think she won’t be back until Halo 6 or maybe the end of Halo 5.
