SPOILERS - Covenant & Prometheans in Campaign

Frankie said it himself.

"Let’s talk a bit about the campaign mode. How different are the Prometheans when compared to the Covenant?

The big difference is that the Covenant are tactical, while the Prometheans are more strategic in a sense that they can enforce and multiply when least expected. Since <mark>the Covenant and Prometheans are working together</mark>, there can be a situation when you’re fighting a Covenant squad when all of a sudden a Promethean launcher shows up to turn the tide of battle. Also, hiding behind cover may not work when fighting them, because their crawlers can climb over cover and flush you out."

I knew that the Covenant and Prometheans are enemies, but until I read this article I thought they were independent, like the Flood and the Covenant.

What are your thoughts on the joining of the Covenant and the Prometheans?

A bit of old news at this point. Not too much of a surprise either, the Storm Covenant are on Requiem looking for one of their gods. Makes sense for them to eventually serve said god and his Prometheans.

Personally i think in the 4th mission titled the “composer” the prometheans will use the composer to turn the covenant into AI’s and place them into prometheans.

But thats just me.

My only thoughts are that Firefight’s might take a bit longer unless the AI is dumb enough to betray each other.

Thanks for spoiling it for those who wished to be genuinley surprised

Oh how I will love you legendary!! /sarcasm

But seriously, this is going to be a fun challenge to overcome. Looking forward to it.

Just like the Promethean-Covenant alliance, it’s been said before. If you wish to avoid spoilers, you shouldn’t be here, you should be going dark.

I agree with Cobra here. Unfortunately, being it so close to the games release, there will be spoilers, it is guaranteed.

I am not doubting that they will team up somehow throughout the campaign. But why do we see scenes of promethean knights attacking Covenant Elites?

Considering they’re caught slaughtering elites in the Forerunner vidoc…

I already knew this, but can you please put a spoiler in the title for the people who didn’t?

if you want to be genuinely surprised I wouldn’t come to the forums at all

They probably fight at first than realize they have a common enemy.

What if he came to discuss multiplayer, your telling me he’s not allowed on the forum because he doesn’t want to have the campaign info spoiled.

Or people could just use the spoiler tags like they’re sopose to…

So why would he go into a campaign thread?

Why? The info was in GameInformer, if it was meant to be a secret story point then 343i would not have given it out. You want to blame someone for spoiling their story, blame 343i. They seem to say something new every week.

This.

Why don’t you just use the spoiler button?

I personally still can’t believe that. After watching the trailer of the Promethean Knight throwing the Elite. I doubt they’re working together. Guess the only way to find out is through waiting for the release.

Spoilers are spoilers, its entirely possible that people come here to talk MP, dont be an -Yoink- about it, is it really that hard to press a few keys?

and don’t play stupid, then why would they go into a campaign thread if they didnt want to be spoiled? you and i both know how stupid of a question that is, spoilers are in the title, they don’t have to go inside the thread, a spoiler is allready revealed, and if they do, they are screwed worse.

As i said, is it really that hard to press a few kys and type spoilers in the title of the thread? unless your incredibly lazy, its not that hard.

> Spoilers are spoilers, its entirely possible that people come here to talk MP, dont be an -Yoink!- about it, is it really that hard to press a few keys?

Calm down. It’s not hard to put up a spoiler tag, but nothing implies anything here is meant to be a spoiler. 343i make no mention of them being spoilers or major plot points in the game. As such, I don’t treat them as such.

If it was meant to be a spoiler, Frankie shouldn’t have said anything and left it as a mystery. But since he did not, I can only assume it wasn’t so I won’t treat it as such.

> As i said, is it really that hard to press a few kys and type spoilers in the title of the thread? unless your incredibly lazy, its not that hard.

Not lazy, just don’t see the point. Now I would suggest you don’t flame people, it’s looked down upon here. If you want to complain, take it up with 343i.
