*Spoilers* Anyone else wonder why? *Spoilers*

Why the rest of Osiris just sat out in the mine watching Chief fight Locke? If all four of them went together, I think they might’ve had a chance at subduing Chief.

Because… REASONS!!!

Because blue team was there, and 4 Spartan 2’s > four spartan 4’s.

I’m really not even sure how Locke was able to stand toe to toe with chief, really, when you read about his alleged reaction times and such.

They couldn’t shoot him, they might get Locke in the process.

Maybe they were awed by seeing Chief fight Locke?

  1. Blue Team had left by that point.

  2. Chief (and all of Blue Team, really) are pushing 50. Locke is younger.

In armor the 4s are equal to the 2s. If the rest of osiris helped locke chief would have gotten destroyed. And if blue team came out of the guardian it’d be a toe to toe fight but blue team would barely pull a win.

Well who really wants to fight the Master Chief? Buck was probably thinking … umm what do i do?

up until the Guardians actually start causing massive destruction I don’t entirely think Osiris’ hearts were really in the mission. we know for certain Buck wasn’t really onboard and he even said that every marine and Spartan would hate them for doing it, so maybe they just figured if they didn’t help and he got away so be it.

“You want to get in on that?”
“What?! And have the Chief kick my -Yoink- just like he’s going to do to our ‘fearless leader’? No thanks.”
“If we all get in there we could probably take him…”
“I guess I’m the only one who read the reports about this guy walking into a Flood infested High Charity alone and coming out alive while blowing it straight to hell…”
“Point taken…”
“…or how for most of the campaign on the first Halo he was fighting solo against Covenant AND Flood…”
“I get it.”
“…or how he boarded that Forerunner capital ship solo, fought through waves of Knights and pretty much stared the Didact in the face while flipping him off?”
“OKAY. I get the point, we’d just add to the body count.”

Also there was no clean shot, and as Blue and Osiris were all UNSC nobody was willing to open fire in the first place.
