*SPOILER Question about campaign???

SPOILER

I have a question about the last mission in the campaign. After Master Cheif plants the grenade in the Didact, he activates the Havok nuke bomb…right in his hands… and survives… ??? He ends up in some weird blue place where he and cortana say goodbye. I dont understand how the bomb didnt kill him? Like he activated it right in his hands?

I think Cortana the same way she was able to use the light bridge to restrict the Didact’s movements used the light bridge to protect the Chief and move him to a safer area.

  1. Mjolnir armor is incredibly strong

  2. Cortana used what remaining energy she had to re-form the hardlight bridge into a bubble surrounding chief

Armor Lock OP

Armer loks is sekritly in da game u just need tu pley solo legendairy all skuls n u unlock it

Yeah that’s what somebody else said on NEOgaf. I just think its abit to “cheap” to be true. If thats what really happened I feel it was terribly executed on 343’s half. Great game though!

^^I ROFL’D at this :L :L

I also heard a theory that the device chief had was actually the detonator. The nuke was still on the broadsword.

Hahahahahaha

Cortana says something like “I only had enough of me left to get you off of the ship”, so it implies that she protected him in some way.

Interesting. I wish 343 explained little things like this better. It kinda annoys me that we dont know 100% how he survived that.

I think it was meant to be that way. If they explained everything in the game in full, explicit detail, there would be hordes of people saying, “OMZZZ 342INDUSTRI Y U MAKE EVERYHTIN SO BORINGGGZZ AND NOT MISTEARIOUS!!!11!!!1!!”

And nobody wants that.

Leaving it open to speculation? That’s actually a smart idea. You can allow players to discuss your game among people who may not have played it. Increase the sales numbers a bit.

No the device he had was the havok’s warhead. In the cutscene you watch him take it out.

Basically in order to make their game “different” from the other Halo’s some how killing off vital plot central characters makes it more dark/mature than previously.

When many epic novels have involved characters facing their mortality and emerging from those trials a better stronger person. Not so for Cortana.

At least personally I am never going to invest in another Halo game again. 343i did a terrible job in the campaign. The only reason I still play Halo 4 and not traded it in yet is because of Spartan Ops which is the most fun aspect of the game.

Found some evidence to support the detonator theory.

“The HAVOK can only be detonated by a remote signal”
